Tetra AquaSafe Plus 16.9 Ounces, aquarium Water Conditioner And Dechlorinator

This is good.. It gets rid of all the nasty chemicals like chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals. I didn't really think about how dangerous those things were before using this product (oh well). It also claims to help your fish heal faster with some added vitamins. My fish seem fine, but they could just be tough as nails, who knows? It's pretty easy to use - you just add a capful to your tank and it works in seconds. I got the 8oz bottle and it's lasted me quite a while. It's definitely more convenient than trying to find fish-safe water elsewhere. Plus, my local grocery store doesn't even sell bottled spring water, what are they thinking? Anyway, overall, Tetra AquaSafe Plus is a decent product that does its job (I think). My fish haven't died yet so I guess it works!

First, this bottle is HUUUUGE. I've always used the smaller bottles. My tanks are not that big, so I was able to stretch the product a long way. But with this big boy bottle, I honestly think it will last several years or more. The price was amazing. Like others, I love that you can use the water very quickly after treating it. Makes for quick water changes and I feel comfortable that it is doing its job of conditioning the water.

1000 ml bottle. I've used this for so many years. For the first time, instead of the 250 ml bottle, I bought the 1000 ml (about 34 ounces, almost a quart). size. Probably too much to buy, but four times the volume for less than twice the price, the big bottle was to good a deal to ignore. There is a newer product from Seachem, who wonderful HOB filters I use, and it is much less expensive per dose. great for hobbyists with many large tanks. But for my two tanks (60 and 29) getting an accurate dose might be difficult. I wonder why these chemicals are not available in tablet form, say one tablet per ten gallons?

I have been using the regular Aqua Safe for years and I have never encountered any issues, so I order the plus to see how it works and it seems pretty good you can actually tell when you add it to the tank it creates some sort oily mix but it quickly disappears leaving no residue behind. Also I added to some of my tanks when adding new fish and so far I haven't seen any issues.

I very recently purchased this water conditioner and found it to be pretty good in terms of effectiveness in relation to the total cost. You can instantly add water after adding the correct amount of conditioner for your tank size. Just make sure to use the measuring cap on the bottle and not a third-party measuring tool and it seems to be much more accurate that way. Pretty good water conditioner for all types of fish, big and small. I have used this conditioner on small tetra-type fishes, Oscar fish, and also catfish. Only reasoning for 4/5 stars is because different conditioners such as Prime seems to last longer as it is more concentrated but this product is much cheaper. So there are pros and cons to both.
