Electric Whole Leaf Tobacco Shredder. Full Leaf Grinder for Roll Your Own

I'm not sure what happened to trigger the negative reviews, perhaps they were trying to make this do something it isn't capable of. It is a GREAT leaf shredder, no it's not fast but slowing down and taking your time has advantages. This is NOT a cigarette manufacturing machine. If you think you're going to be shredding pounds a day and making cartons for your friends, look elsewhere. For shredding a pound or so of de-stemmed tobacco leaf at proper moisture content, it works. And it works great. Again - take your time, this is not a race. DO NOT lubricate this machine with vegetable, olive, palm, safflower, or any other organic oil! They will gum up the cutters with tobacco bits and lead you to become frustrated. Use Food-Grade USP mineral oil (available here on Amazon) and use it sparingly. A little goes a long way! 40 years in restaurants taught me the mineral oil on something like this that needs a little love, it will last a good long time. All in all, a great purchase of a well made machine. Edit: One year in, and this machine still works as new after probably 35 pounds of whole leaf, properly stemmed. It's excellent if you use it PROPERLY and take care of it. I am convinced the negative reviews are people thinking they can have a side hustle by making cartons for the trailer park. You see the same kind of negative reviews with the electric injectors where people think they can make 0 cartons at one time. Shred until the bin is 3/4 full. STOP. Let it cool down. Allow time to dry out for an hour or so. Shred more if desired. Again, this isn't a race, and this machine will last a long time if used as intended.

Works great right out of the box.

This is the second Leaf Only tobacco shredder that I have purchased. The first one lasted about a year. The newest one that I ordered had a loose screw in the bin inside the machine. After I used it for about 10 minutes it shut off. It would start again after about 30 minutes. This went on for the next hour and then the machine stopped altogether. I have returned it and bought another identical machine. They are very good when they work but they don't always work well and they definitely don't last long

I love it...it is expensive but worth it as I dislike grinding

Works really good. Does take some time to process the plants because it will over heat. Very happy with this machine.

Motor stops working between 30-60 days, bi weekly usage. Pulled it apart and applied oil to try to revive, hasnt worked since.

I don't know how anyone can review this unit negatively. I was able topeocess over a kilo of Nicotiana rustica that had not been dried in less than 45 minutes. This unit accepted many layers of the tobacco that was processed from a fresh maso. Not a single jam, and the shred is gorgeous! The burn is smooth, and the ember stays put. I could not be happier with this purchase..this little unit is mighty!! Very much worth the small investment.

Makes high quality shredded tobacco. Super easy to use.

Only used it once. I cure and flatten my tobacco leaves and cut out the veins. Once dried out but not crumbly I placed them into the machine one by one and cut them in pieces if I have to to avoid overlapping. The machine shredded each leaf perfectly. If you take care to prepare your leaves properly and don't try to over stuff you will get excellent results.

I have had this item for nearly a year. Has performed well with weekly use. Very well made and dependable.
