Really great starter kit, or extras. Provides lots of variety of components, all the major sizes of resistors and capacitors that you might need. All the components are decent quality and well organized. It would've been nice if there were better specs or model numbers included for some of the components, especially on the LEDs. From my testing, the LEDs measure out approximately as follows: Yellow = 10mA @ 2.1v Red = 20mA @ 2.3v Blue = 20mA @ 3.2v Green = 20mA @ 3.5v White = 20mA @ 3.7v Since they are unmarked, I can't confirm the values are exactly correct, and your LEDs may be different than mine so YMMV. Be careful of the Yellow LEDs they are much more sensitive to higher voltages/currents than the other colors. I burned out several of mine.

I got it missing the following pieces: - 5 diode rectifiers - M/M usb cable - 20 ceramic capcitors - 1 Thermistor - 10 electrolytic capacitors - Active buzzer - Fiver transistors

This is a great kit for the price. The only thing you're missing is an SBC or a micro controller (I'd recommend a Linux SBC for more flexibility if you're just starting out, the GPIO interface is going to give you full control without limitations like tiny memory, lack of disk space, or a slow CPU, most SBCs, even if cheap, can drive 1080p video streams without hiccups, they can handle a few GPIO attached devices without pausing). You'll need a controller device to use the kit but other than that it is fully loaded. I haven't tried the buzzer or the IC 4N35 but other than that I've tried all of the parts. Everything has worked great and as a starter kit it has had everything I needed to have fun and make some blinking lights controlled by software. The breadboard is standard and has those side plugs that let you attach it to more standard breadboards if you need something bigger. I like that the power supply has both USB and a barrel plug option. I've only used USB but the option is there. I like the USB power though, I have a ton of various USB-A chargers, but not any 5V barrel power supplies, (and my laptop could power it up via USB-A too, hell, the SBC probably could power this kit via USB-A on its own...).
