Awesome set! Great for traveling. Bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift and we took it up to the mountains. Looks elegant as well as practical.

He estado buscando un set de ajedrez práctico y duradero para llevar a mis reuniones y viajes, y este de vinil con fichas de plástico de 3 pulgadas y tablero de 17 pulgadas ha superado mis expectativas. Lo primero que me llamó la atención fue la calidad del tablero. El vinil es robusto y se desenrolla fácilmente sin arrugas persistentes. Las coordenadas son claras y el tamaño de 17 pulgadas es perfecto: lo suficientemente grande para jugar cómodamente sin ocupar demasiado espacio. Le doy cuatro estrellas, sólo porque algunas piezas tenían un borde filoso, pero con lijarlas un poquito quedaron bien

This is a nice set for the price. The plastic of the pieces feels soft and flexible, as opposed to hard and brittle, so the extensions are less likely to be broken off. And as I said, the design has nice detail. The roll-up vinyl board looks good enough and should also be durable. The only flaw I can find in using this set is, because the pieces are relatively lightweight, you have to work a little to flatten out the board to get a good balance on the pieces. This should come with time, though.

For the $35 that I paid for this, I was expecting a complete Chess Set in a box for the pieces to fit in, there was no box at all they’re just loose pieces . I understood that it a travel board however I didn’t expect it to be look like a wadded piece of newspaper.. You can see the pictures and judge for yourself. The pieces themselves I would give a three rating to, the pawns are extremely extremely lite weight. I would recommend anybody that wants a decent chest set to go on eBay and buy one from the 1970s.

Cheap chess set. The quality isn't that great and the chess board is a flimsy piece of cloth.

I was a little disappointed that this was more “black & cream” than black and white, but other than that I’m very happy with it and pleased with the way it fits into my decor.

Looks better in the pictures, it is like a little kids toy set will work for a chess set for kids or travel but the price should be about $9.99 in a dollar store.
