Great for properly prepared surfaces
I applied this using my Cyclo Model 5 orbital polisher with Lake Country red finishing pads. This wax is strictly a finishing product, and is by no means an all-in-one. Prior to using Premium Carnauba Wax, I went through each of the following prep steps:Complete hand wash - Blue Coral Concentrate, Chenille microfiber wash MittHand Dry - Meguiar's Waffle Weave X2000 Water Magnet MicrofiberSurface Decontamination - Mother's California Gold Clay Bar SystemCompound - Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Lake Country Orange Light Cutting Pads, Cyclo Model 5Polish - Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, Lake Country White CCS Polishing Pads, Cyclo Model 5Compound and Polish removal - Chemical Guys Gold Microfibers, Optimum No-Rinse Wash&Wax 1:10 dilution for detail spray.Finish and Seal - Griot's Garage 1-Step Sealant, red finishing pads, Cyclo Model 5.Final Gloss Wax - Griot's Garage Premium Carnauba Paste Wax, red finishing pads, Cyclo Model 5.This took a full day's work. If your paint is new or very well cared for, you can skip the compound and polish steps, and use a sealant without the fine cleaning and polishing properties of Griot's One Step, but decontamination is a must, and I strongly recommend a base coat of sealant before the wax.Machine application will make the most of this wax, It will sufficiently work the wax into the paint, and leave a very light layer which is easy to polish away even if it has been left to dry for a long time. If this wax is at all difficult to remove, you are likely using far too much of it. If you get a lot of dust when removing, this is another indication that you have used too much.Attached is a cell-phone picture of my results in poor lighting the day after I applied Griot's Premium Carnauba Wax. I could not expect better from a wax in this price range, I feel it is a bargain among genuine carnauba paste waxes. In the future I plan to compare with Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance, which is the most direct competitor to this product. I will update if my opinion changes.

Great Product, Highly Recommended
Used this on two cars. Both were thoroughly washed and dried. Went on without much effort. Made a mistake a let one section dry too long, which didn't come of easily with a dry cloth, but cleaned up quickly by applying more fresh wax, and then buffing clean. My white car looked great -- it's hard to make white shine -- and my wife's dark blue car came out looking spectacular. Really didn't notice HOW spectacular until we went shopping and noticed how much shine the car had compared with the other cars in the parking lot. Also noticed it worked particularly well on the (plastic) front bumper as it makes cleaning off "bug debris" MUCH easier. Even used it on both cars' outside rear view mirrors, as the wax beads any water and reduces water spots. Great product, highly recommended.

Was a joy to use. washed the car and used a micro fiber cloth to apply and hand buff out. Looks great and easy to apply. very slippery, water beads off like crazy.

This stuff is great. You get an absolute ton for your money ...
This stuff is great. You get an absolute ton for your money and the product is not just a run of the mill wax like turtle wax which is hard and crusty to buff off. This is very good wax and you need very little. The one thing I did was apply a minimum of 2 coats even though it says it is not necessary. The smoothness and gloss are incredible (Of course, I used McGuire's ultimate compound followed by MG's ultimate polish followed by MG's show car shine) prior to application. Oh, and then two coats of JETSEAL by Chemical Guys followed by 24 hr cure and then the wax.Amateurs commenting on gloss and shine issues don't realize that WAX does not add shine! Polishing adds gloss and shine, wax protects your finish from bird crap to maintain that gloss and keep dirt and grime from accumulating on your car/vehicle so it stays shiny.

Best I’ve used.
Best wax I have used. Goes on thin and easy to hand buff. I used Griot’s for the first time last October and the water still beads off after wash/rinse. Just finished waxing my wife’s car and again was done in no time. Not at all like the cheap car wax that leave thick clumpy streaks when applied making it a real hassle to buff. Sure it’s pricey but I will get at least 4 applications with one tin. IMO it’s worth the price and I won’t go back to using cheap, inferior wax.

An adequate wax
Here's my husband's opinion, and this man knows his way around the exterior of a car:I applied Griot's to two sections of the hood of a car whose paint is in excellent condition. Two days previously I had a complete exterior wash and foam wax from an automatic car wash. Following the directions, I found the product easy to apply and easy to hand buff. It looked okay but I saw no apparent difference in gloss between the hand waxed area and the sections containing the machine applied foam wax. Driving in a heavy rainstorm a couple of days later, I noticed nice water beading on the hood. Again, however, I saw no particular difference in the hand waxed sections.Several days later, after driving around Custer State Park in South Dakota in all weather conditions, all of the wax held up well, but no section was remarkably different from another. Conclusion: Griot's is a competent paste wax which is easy to use and produces a result roughly equivalent to other products I use (e.g. Nu Finish) or the crackerjack neighborhood carwash.
