My office is in the back of the house so while the room stays warm, sometimes I need a little extra and with one central heat source, it can be difficult to adjust. Not only is this thing an electric blanket, but the sleeves and foot pockets are the game changer. I would prefer it be wider so it wraps all the way around me but it works out nice for what I wanted. there are several different heat settings, though it's temperature control and not "zone" control. There is also an "auto off" timer going as long as four hours. Thankfully, there were no funny smells on the material. Says it's washable which is good because the fleece stuff on the back collects EVERYTHING. (Something I knew before I bought so this didn't play a part in my rating) Only thing I was disappointing in was that there was no heat in the sleeves and the armholes at the shoulders were tight on me. Grant it, I'm not a small woman, so that part is subjective. Overall, I'm really glad I purchased this item.
