Too big for under the average residential cabin
Works like a champ but way too large for any kind of under-sink mounting applications, at least in a residential setting. It needs to be mounted on the wall for good clearance. That’s something to keep in mind, because not being under a sink creates 2 things: an eyesore on the wall, and loss of flexibility in the water line.

Pricy, but 3M is always worth it.
Installed in our bar office/storage room. 3M is great. While this is relatively expensive for a plastic filter housing, it’s nice. 2 slotted mounting holes, doesn’t leak when you take the filter out. I have a 3 stage whole building water filter system, and this one is strictly dedicated to the ice machine. Bad ice/water ruins nice cocktails. Extremely easy to install. You can’t mess it up.

Scotsman Ice Maker
I was having issues with our Scotsman clear ice machine. Installed this filter, even though it was designed for a larger commercial ice machine. Seems to work great. I added a small valve and tube to bleed the air and flush the filter out. I like the pressure gauge on top with the red set needle.
