Use for frying in deep pot. Handle is a little unstable but not to the point of bending. Works well.

Very heavy duty basket, well made. Even the mesh is very hard and not flexible. I was very surprised at the quality. I got it to replace the aluminum basket in my PRESTO Big Kettle which also serves as a multicooker. Since aluminum can leach mainly when heated, I do not want it in my food due to the health risks it can pose. This basket works perfectly in the Big Kettle, almost like it was made for it, and will last forever. It is large enough to use as a multipurpose strainer. Some people noticed a bit of rust developing over time - you can combat that by washing and immediately placing in a heated oven. I do that with all my cast iron to dry them well and then follow with a quick rub of some food grade oil.

I got this to make frying chicken in my cast iron dutch oven (large pot) easier. It doesn't hang from the edge of my pot, but then I didn't expect it to. It sets on the bottom, & fits with about 1/2 in. clearance around the sides. It is well made, & sturdy enough to hold a large batch of chicken. I can still set a splatter screen over the top, or place the lid on the pot, if I want to. It serves the purpose of draining what ever you are frying. I have used it several times since buying it, using the dishwasher to wash it, & it still looks good. It is worth the $11, or so $$'s I paid for it. I would buy it again. Fits perfect in 7" pot

Super heavy duty and durable. Very well made. Bought it to deep fry wings. Unfortunately it seems no matter how much you clean it, it’s never perfectly smooth and clean after that first use. We’ve tried Brillo pads, 409, even soaking in ammonia with no luck.

Have yet to use this but since I'm reviewing products today I might as well add that this basked is extremely well constructed, as far as I can tell. For less than $10 I think it's a good find.

Fits inside my 5-qt. round Le Creuset perfectly. Crossways at least. The top is about an inch and a half out of the pan, but that doesn't really matter. Sturdy, heavy, well-attached handle. According to other reviews it doesn't seem to be chromed, so make sure you dry it well after washing, but I don't wash my dishes so I haven't had any problems ;).

This baby is far better quality and far more solid than I had expected. It's clear that this basket will last a lifetime! It's also a perfect fit for my Lodge 5 Qt cast iron dutch oven. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase.
