How did you come up with the idea for this product?

• As per the research we conducted, there was a huge potential for grooming products in India. And we all know that India is a seller’s haven—you just have to have the right product at the right time. Being beard lovers ourselves, both Priyank and I felt the need for better beard grooming products. This industry targets over 25 million users with a market size worth almost `2000 crores. Thus, Beardo was the result of a need to introduce products that specially cater to taking care of one’s beard as it is not advisable to use regular grooming products for beard hair and we have now scaled to all types of grooming products for men including shampoo, conditioners, serums, lotions etc.

What makes your product special?

• Our main USP is the mix of blends and the purity of the oil and other formulation that we use for all our oils and washes. One concern people often have is that beards give off a bad odour – however, Beardo helps in that respect through the options of various fragrance oils and wash.

What has been the best part of your startup experience?

• This was Priyank and my dream project, being beard fanatics ourselves we felt an immense need for the appropriate grooming products and with Beardo we have fulfilled that need for not just us but all men around the country. Beardo has seen a fantastic response so far and the demand just keeps increasing, this need of the Indian consumer is what motivates us to keep innovating. Our aim is to become pioneers in the men’s grooming industry.
