DEWALT Table Saw Stand, Rolling Stand, Collapsible and Portable, Lightweight and Compact (DW7440RS)

Just arrived this afternoon and just a few minutes after taking it out of the box, it was assembled and ready to go. It's a very heavy duty stand and very well made. It even looks good! Back legs are a little longer than the front which looks strange at first, but it grows on you. I will follow up in a few days after I mount my new Bosch table saw to it. Update,Feb 7, 2013 As simple as it is, it may be one of the best tools I have ever owned. It's rock solid. I mounted my brand new Bosch table saw to this stand and it makes the little saw feel much larger than it actually is. In spite of the way the legs stick out to make it stable, the legs don't get in my way. Would give this stand six stars if I could. Well worth the money. I have used the Bosch gravity stand and it's easy to use, and this one is almost as easy and has a smaller footprint. UPDATE, MID APRIL 2014: Using it since first of the year. I can have my Bosch table saw up and running in just two or three minutes. Takedown is just as quick. Talk about a time saver! On a nice day, I can easily wheel it out the door which gives me much more room. One day it rained when the saw was outside. I had it down and inside in two minutes. UPDATE APPRIL 2015: Still going strong. Not a single issue. Not one. Works as well as it did the day I bought it. Perfect for the small shop. Get Amazon prime and shipping is free!

A very difficult assembly instruction booklet with little understanding from this engineer. Their technical writers are doing drugs. I had to get on-line and youtube to see the "easy assembly". Good videos and very functional stand. I had to make 1/2" spacers to the absolutely TOO LONG securing screws. I made them out of oak (see photos). The screws are too long for the interior space of the base securing tube. You must take off the plastic "boots" to secure. a very good product and DO NOT BY THE Chinese fake one that is just a bit cheaper. I ordered both and immediately sent back the cheap Chinese version. Get the DeWalt sanctioned real one. You will thanks me later.

I was reading the reviews on people having to drill out the holes to mount the 7485. I was struggling with this too. Then I read the SAW manual and it clearly showed the mounting points. They are NOT the tubular angled holes that the stand manual points out. They are located on the bottom of the rubber feet of the saw in the middle. They use the same bolts provided. It’s perfectly mounted/level and is rock solid. It’s not coming off that stand unless you break it. I just wanted to clear this up for others since I was following the stand guide and hit the same struggles some have shared here. See attached pictures. Otherwise the stand is great. The instruction manual is garbage in terms of how it’s written and the poor pictures. But it’s pretty straightforward even with less than stellar instructions.

This is a great product that's super easy to use...it's easy to fold and wheel around with the saw securely attached. It very stable and the build quality is simply better than anything else on the market...with one exception...the black rubber feet on the bottom of the legs are glued/epoxied on to the extruded aluminum legs which fit like a cup over the aluminum legs...and because of the sharp angle of the rear legs it leaves very little surface area for the glue/epoxy to bond to. The first time I attempted to stand-up the saw stand ... the back/rear rubber foot came off and now I am constantly having to fix it every time I stand-up and/or pack-up the saw...and I'm certain I will end up loosing the rubber foot before long. For that reason I am deducting 1 star. I am very surprised that I did not read about anyone else having an issue similar to mine...am I just unlucky and received a stand with poorly attached rubber feet...I doubt it. I doubt it because I see this as a design flaw in my opinion...they could have done a MUCH better job on this crucial area where "the rubber meets the road" ...so to speak. Please don't get me wrong...I feel this is BY FAR the best saw stand out there...but...I'm really surprised that the feet where designed lacking the pure strength, which is clearly present in the rest of the product.

Not sure why people are saying it's hard to assemble with the Dewalt 7485 - it went together quite quickly - maybe took 20 minutes. If you are having issues just watch a youtube video on setup. I think people are trying to bolt it through the holes in the metal part of the black frame, but the bolts for the brackets that attach to the bottom of the saw actually just screw into the holes on the bottom of the plastic/rubber feet of the saw (you don't have to remove the feet from the saw for this particular saw model). The nuts that are included with those bolts are simply not used for this particular installation, so they may be used for a different saw or tool other than the 7485. It's really stable when deployed and easily maneuverable. It puts the tabletop of the saw at 35-1/4" which may be a bit short for some but it's just about perfect for me. Highly recommended.

This table saw stand has great build quality and good looks, and it fits and matches the DWE7485 table saw I already owned. The legs are sturdy and easy to fold/un-fold. The stand is easy to setup and move, and the hollow, air-less tires work well. The quick-release stand brackets make it easy to load/unload into a vehicle, or to use the saw in a tight space. The kickstand/upright storage feature really saves space in my garage. BTW: I already owned the 7485 saw, and it did fit the stand as-is, but I didn't think the default mount was secure enough, so I drilled 4 holes in the bottom rungs of the saw to get a better mount to the quick-release brackets on the stand. All this was due to the design of the saw, not the saw stand.

looked far and wide in stores. No luck. Lots of other options, but none really the right fit. Found this on Dewalt Website at best unit for the saw but they pointed to other sites that went to out of stock vendors. Went to Amazon, found a few vendors. Picked one and got it within a week. Spent less time ordering and waiting for delivery than I had spent in stores finding nothing. Unit is great. Well built, sturdy, Easy to fold up, nice to be able to snap on and remove the saw, bonus of wheels to increase mobility. Great for heavy duty work but also for home use where you need to move saw from room to room plus outside.

Impresionante la calidad de este soporte, al principio dudaba en hacer la compra de este artículo y ahora estoy completamente satisfecho de haberlo comprado. Recomiendo que veas la compatibilidad de la sierra donde pretendes usarlo, ya que en mi caso la sierra con la que cuento es una DWE7470 y no coincidieron las dimensiones de los barrenos de fijación. La solución fue simple, le hice una base secundaria con las dimensiones del soporte y quedó perfectamente bien. Sin embargo, si no quieres tener algo distinto a lo original revisa que sea compatible con tu sierra.

Very high quality stand

Puedo descansar de cargar la maquina que era muy pesada para mi. Ocupa espacio seria lo unico a considerar pero para moverla yo de adentro de mi casa al patio un exito.
