Do you still need to use charcol fluid with the fire starter cubes?

I don't use chemical starters! I use one of the cheap chimneys that you put 2 pieces of crumpled up newspaper in the bottom, then charcoal in the top. It is faster, cheaper and non-carcinogenic. Amazon and Lowes both sell the chimney starters for about $7.99 to $15.00. They last forever. I'll never go back to the chemicals.

what does the grill weigh?

The grill weighs 16 1/2 pounds.

The grates split and rusted after a while. I'd like to replace just the grates. Any ideas?

On 1st thought, I would contact Kay Home Products Customer Service @ 800-635-3831 for replacements. Other thoughts include thrift stores and yard/garage sales.

What country is the grill manufactured in?

I don't know for sure as there is no stamp for country of manufacture which I thought was a US law. item has been discontinued... must be a reason.
