Question 1

Will this camera connect directly to a tv using either a usb or hdmi cable and no additional software?

Accepted Answer

Thanks for the question! Yes, you can connect the VZ-R directly to a TV using an HDMI cable. Do note that the VZ-R is powered by USB, so you would also need to connect it to a power source using the included USB cable. The power source can be a wall outlet or a computer.

In short, 2 cables are involved when using the VZ-R in HDMI mode: a HDMI cable that connects the VZ-R to a TV, and a USB cable (included in the package) that connects the VZ-R to a power source.

Hope you find this info helpful! In the meantime let us know if you have any other questions, or feel free to email our team at cs@ipevo.com. We look forward to hearing from you!

Question 2

It stopped connececting to my computer. How do I fix this?

Accepted Answer

I have not encountered this. Try reinstalling the IPEVO software. Make sure you are in USB mode and not camera mode if you are using the document camera.

Question 3

Does this projector work well for a classroom setting? And what is the best option for what to connect it to (tv, projector, etc)?

Accepted Answer

Thanks for the question! Yes, VZ-X works great for classroom teaching. You can connect VZ-X to any projectors, TVs and monitors that support HDMI connection.

In regard to the option we recommend, it really depends on how your classroom is setup. If you have a projector in place, just connect VZ-X directly to it via HDMI and then you can project live images instantly on the projection screen. This is particular useful if you're sharing a student's work to the rest of the class.

If you can share with us a little more about your classroom setup and what you have in mind, we can provide recommendations that best suit your needs! Feel free to email our support team at cs@ipevo.com or comment on this question thread. We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you and have a lovely week!

Question 4

Does this work with any brand of chromebook? for sharing to google meets and in-class demonstrations.

Accepted Answer

Thanks for the question! VZ-R works with any Chromebooks that support USB connection. For Chromebooks that are equipped with a USB-C port, we suggest using a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect the camera. If you have further questions, definitely let us know, or you can email our support team at cs@ipevo.com anytime!

Thanks and have a great week!
