Hohner Ocean Star C M254001S Harmonica

Very nice to play. It is smooth on the mouth to slide back and forth. The tone is crisp. I enjoy playing the instrumental.

I recieved harmonica with little scratches on its edges. Also casing itself damages harmonica as it is hard plastic and no soft cushioning inside at all. Branding of Hohner in front is printed which fades away very very easily, for me It didn't event last 2 days. As you can see in images it completely wares of and finally Its made in China product. Apart from that Sound quality is Great. Every 24 hole creates perfect sound, for high notes need to blow heavily. Lengthy and little heavy but manageable. As being a beginner this is my first harmonica which is tremolo harmonica. I consider it is great for a start, as spending high on non-Chinese chromatic harmonica, Its not worth in beginning. But yes chromatic harmonica will definitely give a wide range sounds.

Good German product. But why is there no B note in the tuning chart of Hohner Ocean star 24 hole harmonica in key of C? The chart shows bits in blow or draw mode in each hole. What will be the note chart if the blow-draw is reversed to draw- blow

As such harmonica rec'd is trelolo tuned type. I really had no idea and it was not spefied. It also require hard blow and draw. Hence do not find as expected like earlier old one HERO brand. Would like to return.

Pros 1) Delivered early (5 days early to be precise) 2) Product : Sparkling new with all import details attached 3) Case was also included (though I never expected it since the picture does not show it) 4) Harmonicas are as such very versatile musical instruments for a newbie since breath is more malleable to music than fingers. 5) Their benefit on breath regulation is an added advantage. It is like doing musical Pranayama. Cons None that I could find. Though I have not played it as it is intended to be a gift. But Hohner is number 1 in Harmonicas and the product is genuine German-make, so that kind of settles it.

The worst Harmonica I have ever purchased as a Harmonica Player for last 40 years ...this supplier needs to be seriously checked

It is always good to have a creative hobby of own rather waste time in-front of TV. . I cant review this product on a harmonica player perspective since i am only a learner but its images are attaching hope that will be helpful for u. what i understand is that this type of asian harmonica AKA Tremolo reverberates dual tone making it more comparable to Indian harmonium. For learning many online articles are available even though not as much as the western harmonica I think this will be an excellent birthday gift for children they would love this. Build Quality look good to me u decide from the pictures .
