My wife and daughter use this on their hair and it certainly helped in improving the texture of hair. They are better and smooth and silky in comparison to what they used to be.It helps in de-tangling hair and conditions well.

Can this be used without shampoo..?

Yes, can be. It has good conditioning agents but if you need to cleanse your scalp then you will have to use the shampoo as well.
