The album marked a major departure for the band, as it began to adapt more soul and jazz influences than on their previous recordings. The album was a remarkable success in Greece, charting at #4 in the international artist chart, compared to the #36 in the UK combined chart

Liked this album for 20 years - one that stays with you.
One of their best albums - makes you feel slightly off kilter - each song a strange juxtaposition of pop riff and cynical, sometimes angry, taking mickey story / lyric. but that's why I love Tindersticks.If you like this then also get Can our love and their new album The Waiting Room is a great return to high class song writing form!!

Musik klasse, Aufmachung popelig
Zur Musik der Tindersticks gibt's nicht viel zu sagen. Man mag sie oder man mag sie nicht. Ich mag sie. Dass aber die 2 CDs bei einem Preis von über 15.- € in einem Case übereinander liegend verkauft werden, ist nun wirklich unter aller Kanone. Auf solche Besonderheiten sollte im Rahmen der Anpreisung des Produkts hingewiesen werden.
