Love is the greatest commandment.
My oldest son bought the book years past and I had to read it. I held your book in my hands before reading it and was in tears. I told my son that your book is so anointed by God. When I started reading your book I cried and cried through the whole book. I didn't want to put it down. God has blessed you with His Glory and anointing. I just bought my own copy and will read it once again. I will be buying more of your books. God bless you Heidi. Keep writing please. I love you and I hope to meet you one day. 💕💕💕

Modern Day Mother Teresa, for sure!
This book changed my life. Jesus called Heidi Baker when she was 16 to become a missionary to the poorest of the poor children in the world. She even got to know kids whose only sustenance was from garbage dumps in third-world countries. Four decades later, daily she is helping feed 50,000 refugees who’s families have been tortured and slaughtered by the heinous Al Shabab terrorists.

Let your heart be set on fire to Love unconditionally!
Reading 'Compelled by Love' took my husband to Heidi and Roland's school in Africa in search of experiencing and learning from Biblical Love being truly lived, that choice changed the course of both our lives, without it we might never have met, we are both on a journey of learning to become Love. This book is full of beautiful real life stories of love and forgiveness and the unconditional love of God changing everything - in the darkest places his Love shines brightest! If you want to learn the love of the Father, go and Love the fatherless and he will give you his heart and pour out his miracles..... Without doubt this book is top of the list for must have reads that, if you let them, will change your life.

Everything Works by Love
This book popped up as advertisement, but after purchasing it and reading it, I know it was a book I was supposed to read. Heidi Baker is the epitomy of love. It oozes off the pages of this book. I am compelled to the point of dying more to myself, and God loves manifesting thru my life. By faith I am there, but this is were the scripture: "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling". I know that anything done apart from love profits nothing. I now have a new perspective of love in action. You have to totally die to any aspirations of your own, and put on the Lord Jesus Christ in love, truly seeing everyone through the eyes of LOVE (Jesus). This will bring about a change in you. I ask God daily to change me, and I give Him permission to do so. Father has not asked us to do anything beyond our ability from and thru Him. We have no excuse not to walk in love. I am determined to be LOVE to everyone I meet and see, extending Jesus. I have sown this book in the lives of others, knowing that whatever I sow or make happen for others, I will receive from LOVE Himself. A must read. It challenges you to increase in our love walk.

Don't read this unless you want to love people
Although you won't find it in the periodic chart, love is the most important element in the world. Jesus said that the two great commandments are to love God and to love our fellow man as ourselves. We as Christians talk a lot about the concept of love, but do we actually practice it? Is our love selective so we pour it all out on those we find loveable? I sometimes think that many people don't even have a concept of the true nature of love. The Bakers certainly don't fall into that category. The selfless love which they have poured out on the downtrodden people of the world is inspirational in the most humble of terms. In reading of their great compassion and caring for everyone they encounter, I saw in stark contrast my inability to measure up to the Lord's standard. To whom much is given, much is expected. Heidi Baker has been given a mighty dose of God's love. She has been faithful to reciprocate in giving back that love not only to God but to the least of his children. As result, God's miraculous provision has been bestowed upon the Baker family and their ministry time and time again. They daily walk in the miraculous while the majority of Christians would be hard pressed to point out one definitive miracle that they've witnessed in their walk.Donald James ParkerAuthor of Love Waits

A Must Read for the Church!
I read this book and was humbled, inspired, and put to tears. I liked it so well, I passed it on.. first in a Faith Book club I lead. The members, from various denominations, requested that we continue discussion for another month, they liked it so much. I also gave my sisters this book for Christmas, to bless them as well."Compelled by Love" is a book about living, actually living, the Beatitudes! Roland comments that the Beatitudes are the most watered down of the scriptures, and they are. We say, "impossible!" Heidi shows us that they are not impossible and she shares how she learned from the poor and hurting, to be Jesus in hard circumstances.More than a book that touches the heart and spirit, this book is what we, the church in the West, need to desperately hear, because the message, to love the one in front of us, is the cry of the Father's heart to the church. I have heard Heidi speak at conferences, and she affects you the same way all her books do.... unaware to you, the Spirit puts the message (His message) deep in you and you are changed, moved, awakened, wanting more of Him in you and wanting to be Him to a hurting world!

A life of love
An amazing book, really uplifting. Heidi Baker had her life changed around on hearing God tell her to live among and learn from the poor. The book is based on the Beatitudes from the Bible but is really simply written and full of incredible examples see has been witness to in Mozambique over the last decade or so. The way in which Heidi appears to so personally know Jesus doesn't have a falseness about it and is so much simpler and deeper than most Christians. Some of the situations her and her family have lived through have been really difficult and yet always there is a humility in her writing."The only currency that will heal every culture is ceaseless love. To be a minister, we must walk like Jesus, talk like Jesus, and be like Jesus for a broken and dying world."This is how faith in Christ should be. I highly recommend reading this fairly short book, which also has lots of reflections on the thoughts of Mother Theresa.

Genuine Christianity.
I read this book through 4 times in sucession I was so gripped by its message. Christianity has never been so powerfully and genuinely portrayed as by Heidi and her team as described in this book. The combination of intimate love for God, love for the poor and the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit. Heidi Baker is motivated by her deep love for Jesus. She reaches out and hugs the poorest with the love that God has for the world. In this book is described incredible events as the Holy Spirit is active in response to simple faith, when other props are not there to distract. The books takes you through the Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5) and shows how revolutionary the teaching of Jesus is - so opposite to the way we think naturally, especially when surrounded by so many material things.Heidi Baker quotes a lot from the writings of Mother Theresa, especially as they have so much in common in their approach to the poor.We in the affluent West have so much to unlearn to follow Christ's example and teaching, "the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me to preach Good News to the poor".This book will change you and challenge you to love God more and love people around, especially the poor, the disadvanged, the orphan, the destitute, etc.God's love, in action through you, can change the world.

A must read book
It is a great book which make you cry out more for God's work. A very good book to share and every night, I read together with my 6.5 years old daughter. She enjoyed seeing God's work on children and with the poor. It is something real and happen now than just bible story. She reflects how we can do more for the others. I think it is good as our generation in the west or east are living in a very materialistic world or with those value in our daily life. It is a good discussion point for my daughter and I after reading and before the prayer.

Wow!
This book is amazing. It tells me what I need to have titanium diamond-encrusted faith like my sister from Zambia. This is all new ground for me! My faith up until now has been very hands off, miracles were then but this is now however The Lord is helping to break down all of my barriers so I can be laid lower and lower so I can serve Jesus better. Amen! Thank you, Heidi, for your warmth, compassion, humour and humility and blazing this trail for people like me to follow! God bless you and your children and churches... And your yacht!

Testimonies galore
You cannot help but be amazed by testimony after testimony of Gods abundant Grace in the day to day experiences of their lives. If you like a testimony based book, you will love this, the format in places becomes challenging to those who like a certain structure, but it is worth reading as you cannot help but sit in awe and amazement.
