Excellent product highly recommended to all Chess enthusiasts. Here is my detailed review.Awesome points:- The product quality is way way excellent. The chessboard, chessmen (chess players) are durable.- Design - Excellent design, edge to edge finishing. Quite perfect. Best colors.- Magnet - There is a magnet in each Chessman, it makes sure that when you pick those up and pile them they will stick together.- The chess box - Inside artistically designed check box, where you can put all players, safe, secure and attractive.- Travelling - You can carry it along, it can be adjusted in any carry bag.Overall excellent product. You pay a premium price but worth investing.

Awesome nice chess board, which I gifted to my son. The item packing was very nicely done and speedily delivered.The wooden chess board is super quality and looks royal. The pawn being the smallest item on board is around 25mm in height, and is easy to hold and it feels nice. The King measures around 60 mm appx. while the rest of the chessmen fall in between that proportionate height range. The magnetism of the chessmen to the board adds fun while playing and stick to the board nicely.The chess box inside is very artistically designed and keeps all the chessmen safe and secure.Only thing i found disappointing is that column and rows are not marked A,B,C.. and 1,2,3. which would have helped in learning the moves across the board.Overall very nice product and highly recommended. worth its price.

Have had some great times with this product already, and it certainly seems to be of quality - however, I found it to be missing finishing touches. In particular:1. One of the pawns I received was unlike the others, with a groove on its head - there is no chessic significance to this, so I am going to assume it is an inconsistency2. It'd be nice if they'd designed a hing that would allow the board to sit truly flat on a surface - even a hinge-less, assembly-like design would've worked3. The bottoms of the pieces don't have magnets placed evenly - one of the knights I have is (albeit unnoticeably) slightly slanting towards one side4. The magnets underneath the pieces don't have even ordering: My black pieces had magnets such that every alternating unit attracted each other - very handy while holding them in hand to while assembling them! The whites however, have their magnets placed as randomly as possible.

It's a worth buying products, I gifted this product to my son and he really loved it.Craftsman is really good. After placing all the pieces and then if you invert it by 180° still they hold very well, so magnets are working well. Green coloured pieces placing pockets are good as of now, need to take good care especially when there smaller kids.Wanted to buy 16 inch but the price difference was too between them so settled for 14 inch and now I am regretting

Chess board for the life time

I was slightly worried reading the mixed reviews but decided to place my order anyways and I am happy I did.It is a very nice product that I ordered a 14" board as a birthday gift for my son.The craftsmanship is good with perfectly aligning edges and decent size.If I have to nitpick, I can point that the storage space is of average quality and it wont endure a long usage by any kid. It would wear off within couple of months. Also, an extra queen would have have been nice to have.But I have seen very very expensive wooden chess board in the market and in comparison to those I am willing to accept the above shortcomings for the price I have paid for it.Having said all of that, I am very happy with the purchase and hence the 5 stars

Package arrived safely. And to my surprise, it's so beautiful, asthetic, better then they appear on website. pieces are hand carved of wood and Base is magnetic. Plus they provided detailed Manual for Beginners.Final words: Go for it without second thought. You will fall in love for it, Even if you don't know chess, you will start playing.

I have bought it multiple times over the years. Price has almost doubled while the quality has gone down considerably.In 2021 I had to buy 3 sets to get one okish set :(. multiple chessmen have carving defects. Plus the polish is also not done nicely with bubbles and paint residue at places where it shouldn't be. Lastly, the grooves to hold the chessmen are not effective at their job. Nowhere close to what Stonkraft sent me a few years back.
