I wish I could have given this higher marks. After reading reviews, I was convinced that it would be much larger. One reviewer said it easily spanned the sink. It's okay but just not terrific and I wouldn't purchase it again. I think that for the money, there are better products that do the same thing. Just an aside...after my purchase, I kept getting annoying emails - almost daily asking about the product, blah, blah. I've been purchasing things from Amazon for years and I've never had a seller contact me like that.

Not being gifted in the kitchen, I need all the help I can get to prepare just about anything. This item has made draining hot pasta, rinsing fruits and vegetables, and even straining tuna tasks I now perform with ease. The handle is very strong allowing me to pour large amounts of hot water through the strainer with no worries about flexing or collapsing. Being dishwasher safe is a huge plus as well, my previous strainer took a great deal of time and effort to cleanse. Very happy with this product and have already purchased another for my sister's use.

This is a lifesaver. At 85 I am no longer very strong and I can't walk without my cane,so I have had to give up cooking pasta. I am now enjoying pasta again.I can carry water to my pot on the stove in two- quart bottles and use this to drain the pasta. Then I can let the water cool and ladle it out later. Thanks for giving me a little bit of my independence back, and the pasta is great.

This colander we found to not drain as quickly as needed for us but did work and does store conveniently. We use this in our RV where storage is a consideration.

I bought this particular strainer simply because it matches my kitchen decor and is a "space saver." I've used it only 3 times so far, for steaming shrimp. The plastic white rim has begun to melt.

It collapses if it is set on the counter (even full), so be sure to have it hanging in the sink when you use it.

Broke very easily, after very few uses. I cook a lot, but have a bunch of strainers and didn't use this much. Unfortunately, when I went to get it today, the handle snapped off so easily, I thought the rubber grip had slipped off. Wish I had used it more towards the original purchase date, so I could have been refunded. Hope this helps others, as I was surprised to have such a flimsy piece of plastic like this.

The strainer is a bit awkward in design. Did not last long, as it melted when it touched the hot pot.
