I am a typical Prime shopper. I find a product and go to the 1 star reviews first. I read the stories about the product being rusted, unfillable, adaptors, release valves and out of date stamps, "Don't waist your money" I will be honest after I ordered it I was concerned about what I would receive and if I just waisted my money on an old 5lb tank that someone threw together to make a sale. The 5 star reviews mentioned the over use of the Green 1lb tanks filling up our land fills and people not disposing of them properly, not a lot of actual use cases and information. I received my 5 lb tank and case and am thrilled with what I received. It is everything that I was looking for and more. I took to a local hardware store half expecting to get turned away and had ZERO issues and cost $5.25 to fill it. As far as value for the Money. How do you really measure that? If it is cheap then we dont trust it. If it is to pricing then it is not worth it. For me this product is going to make my life easier with less hassle, more convenience, and less worry. I hooked it up to my Kahuna burner and everything went together and out preformed my expectation. We do weekend jeep bug out trips to the mountains and in the past if we wanted to have a gas firepit :( we had to pack one of the large 20 lb tanks which are hard to store with a coolers, tents, dry bags etc. The gas growler is perfect , easy to store and secure, the case will help protect it from rattling around. I don't know about you but when ever i hear a Propane tank banging around in the back it makes me nervous, just something about that sound. I have recommended it to my friends and would buy it again in a heart beat. Hint: this would make a great gift for the weekend worriers, Ice fishers, tailgaters that complain about logging around the 20 lb tanks! No i am not a paid reviewer. I'm just someone that appreciates useful gifts that are not candidates for next summers yard sale.

I go camping a lot (overland/car/ski resort parking lots right now) and always feel guilty about using up and throwing away those little green canisters every time I head out. I looked up the Gas Growler and figured I'd try it out. I had it in two days and took it in to get filled which was super easy. I couldn't believe it only cost $2.60! I would have to spend 4X that to get the same amount in throw-away green canisters. The system is super easy to use and it fired up my two-burner stove for a weekend of cooking and my fire-ring every night with more juice to spare. The fire-ring is key since I run into burn bans a lot in the summer. The case is awesome and has daisy chain webbing loops on the outside where I attach some cooking utensils, and will use them to secure to my rig outfit this summer. The padded handle makes it easy to carry and the overall case just looks dope. The lid and sides are either padded or reinforced and I'd have no concerns about durability. Its definitely is well-made. All-in-all, I'm psyched about the Gas Growler. I'll never use those throw-away canisters again. Its my new camp kit fave.

Once you figure out how to get it filled. The size is perfect for camping/over-landing which is what I’m using it for. It comes with a really nice carry case so moving it around it much safer and it doesn’t get banged around. As I stated previously I had some issues getting it filled. I took it to several places and was told there was something wrong with the tank and they couldn’t fill it. I reached out to the manufacturer and they sent me a list of things to try and it worked. I was able to take it and get it fill for about $5. The equivalent amount of 1lbs green gas cans would have cost 10x that so this tank will pay for itself very quickly. Great purchase. I’d 100% recommend this and buy it again.

At first I purchased this Refillable Gas Growler because I thought it was so cute. Lol but in fact it turned out to be used quite often. It is the perfect size and weight for me. Easy to fill and transfer to other smaller tanks. This one didn't come with the adapter to fill other tanks. Other than that works great and not too bad of price.

Great size, nice storage bag but the hose only works for a few of my appliances. I really love the setup but the adapter hose provided with the setup does not work for my Coleman stove/grill. The pin is too far down and it doesn't engage the receiver on my grill. It does work for my lantern and camp grill, just not the Coleman stove. Support for the company is great and they admitted that it is a known issue for some older Coleman stoves. I ended up ordering two separate hoses on Amazon and both work for all my camping appliances. I'm still keeping the setup because it's great size and I love the tank bag. Overall very happy with the product.

Boy, this thing is handy! The growler carrying case fits the growler like a glove. It’s easy to carry and a happy medium between a 1 pound disposable bottle and a 5 gallon bottle made for a larger grill. It came via Amazon delivery and I opened the package and inspected everything and Took it to the propane supplier and the filled it. I went to the office to pay the bill and it cost me a whopping 4.95 to fill the growler. I’m using it with a two burner Coleman stove and it’s way better than a sharp stick in the eye. It’s much easier to handle than the larger propane tanks. It will be great for car camping. I’m happy with the purchase and it’s a quality product and saves room for other gear in the 4 X 4 which is at a premium.

UPDATED REVIEW July 17, 2024 I contacted the manufacturers customer service. (customerservice @ignik.com) and they replied in less than 14 hours. They were INCREDIBLY understanding, professional & apologetic. They provided the following options: ***** Immediate Refund: We can process a full refund for the tank (upon proof of purchase). Expert Assistance: These small propane tanks have a more sensitive safety shutoff valve than larger (20 lb+) tanks, which can be triggered and become stuck during filling. Once the safety device is triggered, the tank cannot be filled until pressure is relieved from the cylinder and the safety device is reset. Propane suppliers, such as Suburban Propane, AmeriGas, and Ferrellgas, should know how to fill these tanks correctly and relieve the excess pressure if the safety device is triggered. Valve Replacement: Given your experience, we would be more than happy to reimburse you for an OPD valve replacement should you decide to do that locally (just require a snapshot of the receipt) Tank Replacement: We would happily provide you with a warranty tank replacement (upon proof of purchase) and some first-fill instructions to share with your local filling attendant. ******* I chose to visit my local Ferrellgas & they were able to purge the tank & fill with propane. After everything I’d been through I was slightly shocked it was this easy. I have updated my review to 5 stars because I absolutely love this tank 🩷 ********* Original review written July 16, 2024 I was excited to ditch the disposable propane canisters and be more eco-friendly with the Ignik Refillable Gas Growler Deluxe. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to get it filled for the first time and was told the tank/valve was defective! My camping trip was impacted, and now I'm stuck dealing with a return. Ignik doesn't accept returns through Amazon, which is where I bought it. So, I'm forced to navigate their website, which could be more user-friendly, to try and get a refund or exchange. This whole ordeal is a colossal waste of time and money. Update to come: I'll be sure to add how easy (or difficult) it is to get ahold of Ignik's customer service and resolve this. Stay tuned to see if this Ignik dud turns into a fiery nightmare!

Lo que separa este tanque de los demás y por lo que pagas es el estuchito que trae. La calidad es de primera, costuras, cierre, alcolchonado, manija y diseño. Se ve bien padre a un lado de la estufa o calentador en el camping y no arruina las fotos con el coso de metal que tendrías de otro modo (con dinero en el bolsillo). Solo lo he llenado una ves en la gasera de la colonia y no tuvieron problema en llenarlo. Por lo que investigue, este tanque tiene mecanismos de seguridad internos “adicionales” a un tanque normal y si lo llenan con demasiada presión puede que bote el seguro y se bloquee el suministro. “No es un error, es una característica” Si sucede al perecer tienes que pegar el tanque fuertemente contra el piso para botar el sistema. Por eso es que este tanque no tiene 5 de 5 estrellas, al parecer a la gente le sucede y cree que el tanque es defectuoso. Pero (también) al parecer esta muy bien documentado en la pagina de la marca porque puede suceder y como solucionar. Por suerte no a sucedido.

The tank arrived faulty and started leaking as soon as we filled it up. Beware of gas leakage. This is a very dangerous product defect. The case is great quality though.
