AAIN 3/8" x 10FT Heavy-Duty Steel Chain – 7,100 LBS Working Load Limit, Rust-Resistant, for Towing, Lifting, and Binding

I wanted a heavy duty chain to secure my bikes when traveling and the premade bike lock chains are incredibly expensive. I purchased this chain and used this, PATIKIL 2.4" 16FT Protective Hose Sleeve with Snap Fastener, Polyester Fiber Cable Cover Sheath Protection for Welding Tig Torch Hydraulic Hose, Black as a sleeve around the chain to prevent scratching and make it easier to handle. I purchased a heavy duty padlock here on Amazon, removed the hooks and I now have a great home made bike security chain without breaking the bank. Is it as good ad the $180 plus bike security chains? maybe not, but more than good enough for my piece of mind.

Very handy. Easy to work with. I moved a 6-ton log that did not challenge the strength of the chain. Hooks at both ends make attachment to the load and pulling mechanism simple. I may buy another one.

Works exactly how I need it to. Use with binders for a 3k lb car and they hold up great.

Keeps my equipment nice and tight!!
