GTC RT6 Reflective Tape for Optical and Laser Tachometers by General Technologies Corp

Nice reflective tape that works better than white paint, masking tape, white tape, or aluminum tape. The non-contact laser tach seems to pick up a much more reliable reflection than even the aluminum tape. It needs a dark background and a clean surface to work properly. But you only need a square piece of it and not a whole strip.

I bought these tape strips for my optical RPM meter. They work well and are designed for this type of application. (I use it to measure my Lathe and Mill Spindle RPM)

Purchased to use with a laser tachometer to check engine speed on a 2-cycle engine installed in a small hovercraft. Worked really nice. The hardest part is getting the tape in the right spot so you can hit it at the right angle with the laser dot. You want to mount it on a surface so that the laser spot can be put on it pretty straight on (perpendicular) to get a good reading. Weird angles just reflect the laser and your readings will be all over the map. Once you get things in the right spot it did great job.

These strips are extremely small compared to other products in the same price range. They work well for what they are designed to do and arrived quickly so I used them to tide me over until I could find a larger roll of the same product. Product is as described and arrived quickly so I can't be too hard on them :)

Works great, the only problem it don't work well in bright sunlight.

Optical tachometer has to be pointed directly at it no angle allowed like others I have purchased so it went in the trash.
