Quality bands for a variety of workouts
I bought the set of three bands, and I really love them. I use all of them in a variety of different workouts. I train at the gym a lot and I'm experienced in using resistance bands for hip stability/strength training. Here are my best tips for using the bands:The PURPLE band offers a good amount of resistance when it is wrapped around ankles. It is suitable for lying down hip abduction, and other on-the-floor exercises. It is also good for monster walks (band around ankles). The RED band is best used above knees, for standing up exercises such as one-leg Romanian deadlift, or weighted squats. It is also suitable for reverse flutter kicks when lying on your stomach (glutes), and offers more challenge in monster walks (band above knees)The BLUE band is heavy duty, and it is best above knees in hip thrusts, both off the ground and with your back on a bench. It also offers an optimal challenge when doing unweighted or light squats, and can therefore be used for warmup before heavier sets.Overall, these bands are all you need for effective hip and glute strength/stability training. The durability and resistance is much better than the 5-band sets on Amazon (as these bands are thinner), hence the higher price. I would recommend this for someone who already has some experience of resistance bands and is looking for more challenge. The assume that the green band must be very heavyweight. I have one heavier band from another manufacturer, and I barely use it, except for unweighted hip thrusts. The resistance is too high to use for other types of exercises.

Good strong and thick product
Got the 12 inch BIG green one. I was looking for something like my gym has abs it looked good and thick. I didn’t realize it would be too good for me lol. Hopefully gonna work into this band. Very strong, thick and definitely like the gym brand, only more resistance as I can barely move it lol. But like I said im gonna work toward being able to actually use it. Gonna purchase the next size down, as the quality is unsurpassed compared to the other flimsy ones i tried buying. Definitely a good strong product

Great Bands!
I started consistently going to the gym and weight training in Jan. 2016 and at first I was using the very basic, super flimsy/skinny resistance bands that you can pretty much buy anywhere. They're good for beginners, but if you're really looking for good glute/ham/quad activation, you're going to need something a lot stronger that also won't snap on you. I did a lot of research and finally bought this band. OH MY GOD! I totally overestimated my strength! lol This band is super high quality and has incredible resistance, it's literally like an band you would use for assisted pull-ups, but much smaller, so that you can loop it around your ankles. I would recommend starting with the lightest one and working your way up. I additionally purchased the other lighter bands to incorporate into my glute wokrout and can't wait to see the booty gains! Great for: glute kickbacks, side clams, leg raises, side steps, wall sits, powerlifting, etc. It also helps if you have trouble keeping your knees turned out while doing squats, because with the band around your knees, you have to make a conscious effort to push them out.

Get 'em. Use 'em. Don't look back.
The 12" bands work well on my pec machine. I can throw on #500 of steel and use these to add more tension to the end of the movement. Outstanding addition for almost no cost.

Too thick to use around legs.
These bands are very strong. Almost too strong, and the way they are made makes them dig into your legs. I had bruises on my legs where I used them for hip thrusts. They are durable, but maybe too thick for use around your legs.

Heavy duty bands, Great variety in resistance
These bands are great. The resistance with the light band is perfect for newbies and warm-up for more experienced. The blue band is defintitley for those with serious strength.I was looking for resistance bands to do glute floor work. I searched without success. Fortunately, a woman at the gym with a fantastic butt was repping out dozens of lifts with a band. Between sets, I asked her which band she was using. She immediately pulled up the Serious Steel Bands on Amazon. I ordered before I left the gym.My only gripe is the powder residue on the bands. It gets on my black workout pants.Definite recommendation!

Great Quality
Serious Steel is my go to for bands. My deadlift bands I bought months ago are still looking good. These bands work well for glute bridges
