Q: Hi! would you recommend these for editing sound? using them as studio monitors for editing and i'm in a noisy environment so i need isolation. thanks!

They would be great for sound isolation. Sometimes when I'm practicing on an acoustic drum kit I have to lift the ear cup up slightly to allow some of the noise in. Great sounding too

Q: Does the item come with a cord?

Yes it is blue non detachable about 4ft long

Q: Looking for actual db attenuation measurement. Is that available?

In my experience I'd say it's equivalent to regular hearing protection equipment used when mowing a lawn o operating a grinder, so between 25 & 27 dB would be a reasonable estimate. If you need something EXACT, contact Alesis directly.
