D'Addario EXL170-6 6-String Nickel Wound Bass Guitar Strings, Light, 32-130, Long Scale

These are nice strings. They are bright for slapping on the first couple of months. They do last long, but get duller in about 3-4 months. Otherwise they sound deep. The tone is balanced. I don't wait more than six months to change the set, so I can't say much about it life.

this is my first time buying this string at scale length 38 .. its so smooth and the string response in lower tuning is better than i expected.... but this in May 2024 at 4500 but now when i try to buy it again the price is double,, what dafaq happen

I've been a long time user of D'Addario guitar strings and will continue to be. These felt and sounded terrific as soon as I put them on my bass. One of the things I like most about D'Aaddario strings is that they last a long time. And even though I mostly play 6 string lead guitar, and I do a lot of aggressive string bending, they have not broken on me either. That's less of a problem/concern for bass playing but it says a lot about the quality and reliabilty of D'Addario products. If this sounds like an ad, I guess I can't help that--I really call it as it is.

I have a USA Peavey Cirrus bass which is super long scale. No stores ever stock these strings. I've been buying them here for years. For my bass, they're great and last quite a while. Price is decent too.
