Perfect lens for entering the world of UltraWide Angle Photography
This is the go-to lens if you’re a beginner and venturing into the world of ultrawide-angles. The EF-S 10-18 gives the taste of shooting ultrawide at fraction of the price of the legendary L lenses.Pros:+Has Image Stabilization (works fantastic) & STM Focusing (superbly silent & smooth)+Light weight and costs pennies. (Doesn’t translates into being a cheap lens tho)+Focuses very very close (a boon for creative wide-angle shots)Cons:-Narrow apperture limits low-light use (Tokina 11-20 is the go-to for this, but also costs 3-times as much)-AF Speed is moderate and STM struggles in hazy conditions.Things to note:Shooting at 10mm creates a distortion that is the highlight of ultrawide focal lengths and cannot be corrected in post-processing. Take a look at the photos before getting this lens. Ultrawides are not recommended for casual landscape shooting. Get the 24mm focal length lens instead.

Undoubtedly it's a good and useful product from Canon
Undoubtedly it's a good and useful product from Canon; but at Rs. 21,950/- it was being sold on Amazon for approximately Rs. 1000/- over and above the MRP printed on the box. Obviously, I returned the lens and bought the same product from offline vendor for Rs. 2500/- below the MRP thereby saving Rs.3500/- in the process.

Awesome results
Most awaited one for a deal. Got this for a cash back offer, and the results from this lens are satisfactory. Video recording is smooth with less noise levels on EOS 700D, and the pictures on daylight/night are awesome.

1 year use- does the job, but it is not outstanding
I bought this lens for our office and have been using it for more than a year now. With better optics, I expected it to fill in the range below the kit 18-55 and also improve on its quality. It does the former but the quality is not any better than the 18-55.It is an essential for our arsenal of lenses as architects but is mediocre for external landscape photography. I would not recommend it unless you're a property related professional looking for a cost effective lens. If you're a hobbyist and find the 50prime too narrow try the 24prime and give this one a skip.verdict- It does its job but doesnt excite anyone.

Very good wide angle capture
Shot some indoor videos recently with it. Had good lighting (which this lens will need) and they came out really well. Got some nice wide angle shots. I could focus while shooting as the subjects were moving a lot and it did a great job of silently focusing and very quickly too. The stepper motor based auto focus works very well. The only time it went out of focus a bit was when I lost foreground subjects in line of view and the background got into focus but that's mostly my fault. At this price, its the best option if you need a wide angle lens. Keep at f/5.6 or so and have good lighting. ISO 1600 types gives great videos. There is distortion on the edges though but that is expected for such a lens. Nothing out of ordinary.

Great lens for the price
This is a really useful lens for specific situations. Great in particular for architecture and interiors, the image quality is pretty good although as you might expect, not as sharp as a prime. Still, this will get you pictures you just won't get otherwise. The aperture isn't particularly wide, so it might seem you won't get many low light shots. However, it does have image stabilisation and at 10mm, you should be able to get some success at lower than 1/10th second. You will see some blurring towards the edges but it's pretty acceptable... it's more like focus fall-off than the smeariness you can get on some cheaper optics. Distortion isn't too bad and there's no real problem with chromatic aberration. While the autofocus isn't bad, you will get a sharper image in most cases from manual focus. However, I also find that I get better results if I turn off image stabilisation when I have enough light to get a decent shutter speed. I really don't think you could ask for much more for the price.

So much Fun.
Well, this was my first day with this lens and I absolutely loved it! If you have never (I had not either) shot wide angle, it is so much fun. Like taking pictures with only primes, you look at everything differently. I will not review the lens itself, there are so many better qualified to do so than me....and this gets really good reviews at this sorta money, better than the 10-22mm at twice the price. Did I say it was light, carry all day lens? Perfect for me on the move.I will say, if you are still worried (at this price) about corner to corner sharpness, vignetting & barrel distortion you are spending way too much time reading and not enough time taking pictures. If you are taking pictures dead on perfectly straight brick walls to see barrel distortion, not only do your pictures suck, you have way too much time on your hands. Equipment nowadays is way better than most non-professional pictures takers anyways. If you cannot take good pictures with this lens, you are doing something wrong! My only suggestion, this lens is slow at max F4.5. If you are shooting indoors such as Real Estate or Churches you need a tripod. This is not a lens for stopping action indoors. Get a 24mm F2.8 (or something) for taking pictures of your kids. When shooting landscape, you are shooting ~F8.0 or higher anyway for depth of field, this lens is perfect for that. The Image Stabilization on this 'slow' lens is a really great inclusion as it is useful and needed handheld. My first day out, 15km group hike, weather sucked (no sun), running from picture to picture with no time to think, came away with some fun, interesting pictures that are totally shareable. As time goes on, good weather, have more time to compose shots and 'understand' wide angle, it can only get better from here. Some might say my photo's are mediocre and they would be 100% correct but I am doing it, and sharing it nonetheless. It would not be fun otherwise (T1i camera, first day 10-18mm IS STM).[Update] - added some more picture (sunset/buildings) once weather was good. The top of the sunset sky almost right above me (wide angle at work). Note the lens flare, this lens is not immune.

Expand your view
I'm almost solely a holiday photographer, and I always found my kit 18-55 lens great but would frequently wish I could zoom out more, particularly when taking pictures of architecture in cramped european streets or cathedrals. The extra field of view you get with this lens is really good, I love being able to fit everything in frame without having to constantly backpedal.Attached images are 18mm (shortest you can get on the kit lens) and 10mm (widest you can get on this lens)

Best Budget lens for EOS R video work
If you are on a tight budge and want the best lens for 4k video with a EOS R then get this lens. Image stabilization, fast and silence focusing, short and small size.....everything I wanted as a video lens.At widest setting there is distortion and I would not want my face to be near anywhere near the edge of the frame but turn it slightly to 15-18 and it looks amazing.Canon lens made for canon camera, can't go wrong with this lens with EOS R video work
