Speedo Women's Contemporary Ultraback PowerFLEX One Piece Swimsuit

This suit does the job. It's attractive, comfortable, and works for swimming laps. I'm a bustier gal, so my criticism has to do with the support (or lack thereof). The shelf bra is kind of a joke. It doesn't really offer any additional support, so if you're larger up top and looking for something to strap the girls down for an industrial workout, this is not the suit for you. For fear of winding up with two black eyes, I wouldn't even attempt using it for water aerobics or anything else that might cause Mattie and Moe to break loose. But, if you're looking for a solid suit for swimming laps or casual swim, this is a good bet.

I was pleased to find this suit; as a larger-sized but still very able swimmer, age 46 -- the choices are poor for a "real" suit. I do not want a suit built for large old women, no skirts, no padded bras, no cup bras, no wild patterns. I want a suit that looks like I mean business in the pool and that does not gap, flutter, or have "ultra-conservative" leg openings. This suit fits the bill nicely. I do wish there were more color/pattern choices, but that's the reality as the sizes go up. My only comment is that I have this same suit in another solid color, and one more with a more conservative leg opening but the same top and back. This suit is just a bit looser in the bustline -- not enough that I can't use it, but I notice it. And it's not that I'm small-chested or anything..... it's just the cut of this suit is a little bigger. My next order will be for a 16 and I hope it fits in the lower body. Then again, maybe I'm losing weight with all this swimming....... Anyway, great suit, a tad expensive but so far I find it to be worth it.

I am a lap swimmer and I am 5'3", 130lbs, "40-35"-38". My broad back and narrow hips make it hard for me to find a suit that fits. This one finally does. I took a size 38 in the blue/black. It has a comfortable hugging fit, not too low in the hip/leg opening, very flattering. The strap are soft but stay firmly in place, and it has a good bra shelf. Material is excellent for swimming and not see-thru at all. So far I swam in it about 12 times and it has not stretched out or faded, (just rinse in cool clear water and air dry). Highly recommend!

Doesn't fade, stretch out or sag anywhere. A great strong suit in color and function.I'm 5'4" 125 curvy pounds and I bought an 8. Fits well. Wish it had more color on the front!

I wore a speedo suit for 3 years for lap swimming 4-6 times a week. It finally wore out and I bought this as a replacement. The fit was a little awkward and tighter than I expected but I thought it would loosen a bit after a few swims, especially because it was 2 sizes larger than my previous suit. After a month of regular swimming it has completed faded and become transparent. Every single curve is visible now, and the suit did not loosen or stretch so it's both uncomfortable and unflattering. Sincerely regret this purchase.

Chlorine resistant?!?!?I have this suit in black and white, but the white turned pee yellow shortly after getting it. I love the style, cut and fit, so I was so tickled that they made one where the straps are black. Cool, it won't be a problem.... Think again.I purchased this suit 2 months ago. I have worn it less than 10 times and the purple is now turning to darker pink fushia in some areas of the suit. It started out as a dark purple.I honestly don't understand how they can be so fraudulent with their claim to be "chlorine resistant". This suit is no more chlorine resistant than a live fish!!!(In case you don't know, chlorine kills fish).

I have worn Speedo suits of this size for my lap swimming for years. I decided to try a different style because I liked the look of this suit. It was an odd cut, with gaps on the sides of the top, and puckers on the bottom. I also did not care for the low cut on the legs. A slightly higher cut is more flattering on most people. The way this suit fit, I was not convinced the next size down would be any better. It did not seem like it would provide a snug fit for lap swimming, although I returned it before trying it out so I can't speak to that with any experience.

This is a little big. I ordered a 12, probably should have gone for a 10. I will use this as a training suit for triathlon. There is extra room in the butt, however the leg elastic is a little tight. One would think with a big butt, the leg elastic would need to expand. I don't know that a 10's leg would not cut off circulation. It might fit my butt, though. Could be tighter in the chest, too- very little support, I move around in it when I swim.
