Q: does the case does not actually “snap” on like its called?

No, the case does not snap on, the weight of the mixer keeps it closed.

Q: How much does the mixer itself weigh?

I found this mixer to be much heaver than I was comfortable using.

Q: Could i just get a new set of beaters for this mixer have only used twice and one beater snapped off the top?

I received the mixer as a gift and one of the beaters broke the first time I used it. I contacted the company for a replacement and they won't do anything without an order number. I sent pictures of the beater and the box which I still had, since it was brand new. I would stick to a reputable company instead of this one.
