Four Paws Magic Coat Cologne for Dogs, Black

I never thought I would be buying pet cologne; this is my first time doing it.I live in a pretty humid state and whenever I would go for walks with my dog he would come in with the musty wet dog smell. I don't like bathing him too frequently because of the effect it has on his skin, but I was tired of having that dog smell linger on the house. Tried this out, it covers up the smell awhile. He smells like the cologne for about a few days and the 'dog' smell doesn't come back for about a week.I am not that crazy about the smell of the cologne itself, but I do know that they sell different scents, so I might try one of them. I gave five full stars though because it does smell better than the dog smell.If this helps, I have a medium size dog (he weighs 32 lbs) with short hair. He is a mix breed.

Oh my goodness, I got the Red one for my 4mo chow and I only used it on him once just to see how it smells, I love it it lasts for a while and the smell is just like CK men’s cologne, haven’t tried it right after a bath when he is still wet yet. Oh and this one comes as pictured while the Black one it shows you Four Paws but you get Magic one which is completely different I’ve ordered it twice but got the Magic one instead of the Four Paws. So just get the red one you will be glad you did.

IDK what all the whining is about. The cologne is the scent that it is. Like any other fragrance, perfume, air freshener, deodorizers, it's a PERSONAL preference. Either you'll like it or you won't. No need to bash the product. It is the Scent that the manufacturer intended.This fragrance, I happen to like, but reading these reviews prior to receiving it, I was scared enough that if I could've cancelled it, I would've. I'm glad I didn't. It's fine for me. It's not too strong, in my opinion & the masculine pet scent that I was looking for. Some people may not like it, but hey, I don't like Lavender Gardenia, most Vanillas, Eucalyptus, Zen, Cucumbers, etc. So, when I see those scents, I keep it moving. Because I don't prefer the way they smell doesn't mean they're defective or bad. Those scents just don't appeal to me.

I have used this product for almost 9 years.. Previously the product was made with a removable cap and an easy spray device.For some unfathomable reason the company decided to make the product with a self contained top, not removable.The new and horrible can never works..! You can't get the cologne to spray..The last three cans I received had this problem.Hard to believe that the company is unaware of the egregious design flaw.. Horrible and useless ! Don't buy this can.Why does this company ignore the numerous negative comments about the horrendous design flaw on these cans ?The cans won't spray..Unless you're lucky and get one that actually works ( a small miracle )..This company does notdeserve your money. Updated to "minus 1 star" ) !

Purchased this product to help with my GSD's odor in between baths, and wow does it help!! This stuff actually makes him smell better than me and lasts a pretty good while for my dog. I'm sure it varies from dog to dog though despite my experience, Only problem I had with the entire Four Paws line is that they don't give much detail into which products/colors are meant for males/females/unisex. Based on what I found, black and red are for males, while gold and silver are for females. The Four Paws Black has a darker musk to it that is pretty manly and he always gets complimented when in use. Would totally recommend this product for those who need something extra to keep down doggy smell between baths.

I read the this one has a men's cologne type of smell so I bought it. It smells similar to Brute. I like it better then the first cologne I bought for my dog. I have a White German Shepard. I don't know if it is all German Shepard's or just mine (this is my first dog) but he stinks to high heavens. I have tried everything. It comes down to having to wash him EVERY 2 weeks. Or... 1 time a week would be even better. And the only shampoo that gets the stink gone is head and shoulders citrus breeze. I know its weird... but it was a tip I got from a breeder who had tried everything. In an attempt to make him smell decent longer I have started to try dog colognes. I like the smell of this one better then my last one. HOWEVER it seems to last only 6 hours or so.

It's OK. Makes my dog smell like baby powder. He doesn't seem to mind the scent, but he gets freaked out when I spray him with the aerosol can. The sound freaks him out. Scent only seems to last for a day. Good if you have guests coming over and you don't want your pet to smell bad, but I don't think I'll be spraying him every day with it.

I have been using Four Paws dog cologne on my babies for years!!! It smells awesome and stays with the puppy longer than other cologne brands on the market. I raise puppies and I will always squirt a bit of the cologne on the puppy before it goes to it's new forever home. The new Adoptive parents are always contacting me asking me what kind of cologne I put on the puppy when I sent it home and where can they buy some!!! You will not be disappointed in this cologne for your 4 legged friend!!!
