Q: What is the functional difference between 48310 ginger tool, white (10.8 x 2) & 48910 ginger tool, black (12 x 4)?

Q: can the slicer part be used for slicing other veggies i.e cucumbers? thank you

The blade IS sharp enough to slice other veggies, but it is narrow, so that would limit you to smaller foods.
