Powerful Little Beast — Lives Up to the Hype!
This magnet is no joke. I bought it primarily for nail cleanup and general utility around my homestead, and it's exceeded expectations. Despite the compact 2-inch size, the pull strength is incredibly strong — easily yanks up buried nails, screws, or old fencing staples from the dirt. It’s also proven useful for retrieving dropped tools in tight or muddy spots. You do have to be careful with handling — it will snap to metal hard and fast, so keep fingers clear and keep it stored safely. Great for fishing metal out of hard-to-reach places or even hanging heavy-duty tools.Definitely a solid investment if you need reliable pulling power in a small package.

Heavy duty.
Very nice heavy duty magnet. I'm using it to keep my shower curtain snug against the side of our top.

A good deal, but carabiner is flimsy.
I really enjoy magnet fishing, I have been doing it for a couple weeks and so far have only found just rusty old scrap metal, but it’s fun to bring the magnet new places. It gives me an excuse to go find new rivers and lakes in my area and takes my mind off whatever’s bothering me.Pros- the magnet is great. It catches small to medium sized metal no problem. It is well constructed and comes with both side and top mounting rings for dropping straight down or dragging the river bed. The magnet itself seems nicely made and durable, I’ve banged it off plenty of rocks and had no problems.Cons: I’m not crazy about the carabiner clip it comes with. I changed mine out right away because it seems flimsy and I was worried about losing the magnet due to a broken clip. The rope itself is also a little cheesy but I am still using it and I haven’t had any problems. It really isn’t bad, and I stand by my 4/5 rating for the rope. It could be better, but it will work fine for moderate duty use. It’s not sheathed nylon like 550 paracord or rock climbing rope, so I’m worried about cuts and abrasions damaging the rope.Overall for the price this is a great option for getting started out in the magnet fishing hobby. I’d like to also recommend you purchase a 5 gallon plastic bucket you can use to transport the magnet or any interesting bits of metal you may find.Happy fishing!

As described - doesn’t open Yondr pouch
If you’re looking for a magnet capable of opening a Yondr pouch, this magnet isn’t strong enough. Gave it five stars because it’s as described. Very strong magnet.

I bought this to play around with in the water when I'm kayaking. It works as intended!

Not very strong for what it's advertised for
Like many others, my son was hooked on the idea of magnet fishing after seeing the trend on YouTube. While it was fun to use, the magnet seemed only capable of pulling very small metal from the water. The rope is pretty short, not long enough to throw off any bridges in my area. The magnet is thick and heavy with a decent design and build quality, though you need to keep an eye on the screws/eyelets. If you don't use a tool or thread locker to make sure they are tight, the magnet may go flying away when thrown.Fun magnet for a young kid. If you're looking for a strong magnet to hold heavy things, is suggest going with a bit bigger size.

It works 💪
I dropped my car keys into a sewer grate. I have no copies... I called around only about $760 to have an automotive locksmith come out to replace. Enter bright idea ... I'll get a magnet and tie it to a string... magnet pull is great worked on first try 👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Small, but strong
It is strong, but not as strong as I thought it would be. Trying to get small items off is a challenge. I expected it to be bigger, but it works well for the purposes I use it for. I wouldn't take it to the river for magnet fishing. It's to small.
