During my evaluation, the outer shell material felt comfortable to grip and had a slightly yielding quality. This characteristic could potentially reduce impact discomfort if the slam ball were to make contact with the leg during exercise. The 30-pound slam ball cost $39.38 before tax, which translates to roughly $1.31 per pound. While this represents a reasonable value, an ideal price point for me would be closer to $1.00 per pound. The textured surface offered good grip, with minimal slippage observed even when my hands were sweaty. Importantly, the slam ball exhibited minimal bounce upon impact, making it suitable for use in a home gym setting without creating excessive noise. In conclusion, this slam ball presents a fair value proposition and I would recommend it for those seeking a functional training tool.

This is a good, no-frills slam ball that is going to get the job done. If you don't know what a slam ball is, it's a weighted ball that is not going to bounce and hit you in the face if you slam it at the ground. I'm docking a star since it is a little bit slippery, and obviously it's too soon for me to say whether the product is durable or not. It has survived one slam ball workout though and it was a great value per pound. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The lightest slam balls my gym had was 40 lbs. At nearly 60, it was a bit heavy for me when doing high reps of slam ball slams, or slam ball passes so I decided to get my own that was more in line with my fitness level to take to the gym with me on the days the workout called for slam balls. Of course, as soon as I did, they bought a bunch of lower weight balls. But I digress, the ball itself is built very solidly. I got the 20#. I can slam pretty hard and haven't felt that it is going to burst. It has a good no-slip surface as well.
