They WORK!
They work! I'm always iffy about the as seen on tv items but half of them I try really are awesome and I end up loving them! Like my Ove Glove, this is another product I love! I have many indoor plants & I was going out of town for a week with nobody to water them. I bought 2 sets of these watering globes and used them while I was gone and they worked! My plants are still alive and the soil is moist. I did what other people said, I made sure the soil was well watered before I filled up the water globes and places them into my plant containers. I used them for my herbs and my violets, the pots are about 3-4" tall and they work great for them! I am going to keep using these to keep my plants watered, its easier then watering every day or every other day! The water just slowly drains into each pot of soil as needed. Some of my plants go through water faster then others but its easy to tell when they need to be refilled. They are also really pretty hand blown glass! I love the colors!

These globes perform as expected.
I originally purchased the plastic globes as I thought they'd be more resilient over time than the glass ones. It turns out that the plastic globes immediately empty of water and the manufacturer recommends wrapping the end of the globe in a small rag in order to slow the dissemination of water. I did that and the globes functioned...okay. The glass globes seem to drip more slowly without any supplemental rigging and a globe typically takes a week or more to fully empty of water, which is the ideal manner in which they should function, in my view. They are also quite pretty and aesthetically pleasing.

pretty and right size, slow release of water for plants
These aqua globes are very pretty. They water my house plants with a slow release of water and they are all doing great. I also add from time to time fertilizer to the water. The length of 8" is just the right size. Unfortunately I could not use one of the globes because the opening is too big and the water just runs out like out of a watering can. Another one of the globes the opening is very small and it is hard to fill up but I can use it. The third one is perfect. It seems to be hard to find aqua globes in the 8" size where all three work perfectly.

They work and help when you can't be there to water all the time.
I have a summer cabin and I like to keep flowers around up there to make it more cheerful when I come on weekends. If there is no rain, I often have come back to dead flowers. These glass globes are helping to turn that situation around a bit. It extends an extra day or two to my watering and the plants are doing much better this year. I would narrow the end just a tiny bit to control the flow of water just a bit slower if I were the designer of these. I own another brand/size that seems to hold water better/longer. I would buy these again, though and I would recommend them. I am using the other brand on my tomato plants at home. Instead of watering every day, I water every other day. It's a time saver for me.

Auqua globes they are
They do not work as well as shown on TV but they do work. You have to be very careful though as the sharp end of the globes but the roots each time they are inserted which hurts the plant. My personal advice is to not be lazy and actually water your plants as this product, like many other short cut products, has drawbacks.

Not aqua globe brand
I have purchased several of these over the years. The original brand I bought was Aqua Globe. Those ones are a little longer and I wanted that for bigger pots. Yes it says the dimensions in the description but I was just looking at the picture of the box and the name. These came in a box that says Lexi Home. They are ok and Iโm still going to use them. But Iโm a little confused since I was trying to buy a specific brand.

Perfect Size
Update ... when I woke up this morning all the globes were empty. So I am not doing it right. Will try again. These are the smaller version and they are the perfect size for my plants. They look really pretty especially when the light shines on them. One thing to note is that when putting them into the plant, first make a hole in the soil with a spoon handle or something and then insert the waterer. If you push the waterer right into the soil, the stem will take in dirt and block the water from coming out. So play with it a little first. You may see super tiny bubbles in the top. I just got these, so I can't say if they will work, but they are beautiful and I feel they will work and I am super happy with them, especially glad I chose the smaller version.

The greatest thing for potted plants since vermicompost.
I have had excellent results watering my potted plants with these globes. Soil tends to accumulate in them after repeated usage so I use a cotton swab to push the dirt down the shaft in order to refill it. This is a great product for people who don't have the time to water their plants regularly. A must have!
