Great to practice men's cuts and beard trims. Human hair makes it easier to feel and see how someone's hair might actually react to certain cuts.

This is my first male mannequin head, and it is nice quality. Both the hair and beard hair are coarse, smooth, and easy to style. It has not tangled yet, and I often move it around and trying different braid style. There is minor shedding when I brush it with a comb but after the first two thorough brushes, there is no more shedding so just go slow. I don't think I have the heart to cut the beard, so I will leave it at its full length for now... maybe forever. My husband got spooked by it at first since he's only seen my female mannequin, so it was a good laugh!

This mannequin provides the opportunity to practice hair care at an affordable price. My wife is trying to get more comfortable cutting hair (so she can eventually cut her own hair), but there are precious few opportunities to practice without the fear of messing someone's real hair up. This mannequin gives her the chance to get the feel for cutting real hair without needing a real person. The hair itself feels great, styles very naturally, and feels as full as I would expect for a real head of hair. I'm no stylist or cosmetologist, but as a layman I certainly recommend this as a tool for practicing.

I did a burn test which turned to ash. It's straight hair and slipped so you get to practice adding texture.The distribution hair is great. Sometimes these are sewn in straight lines, but this is random and represents how human hair grows. The clip to the table is on the budget side, but it functions perfectly. You can use your own as the head is a standard size.Really good for the piece.Also confess with clips. These are a medium quality and keepers.
