This is a VERY GOOD faucet - YOU just need to understand what "Frost Free" means!
This faucet is well described and is in FACT, a "Frost Free" design - If YOU don't understand what this means, talk to your Local Plumber as it is CLEAR the pictures people are posting about this (as an "issue") DO NOT!So let me explain it:Frost Free design does NOT guarantee it will not Freeze, EVEN if you install it correctly. This is due to a unusual Hard Freeze or if you live in an area that has sustained low temperatures. In these cases you need to use 'heat tape' which you probably already have incorporated on other water pipes. It is CRITICAL to follow the installation instructions and disconnect the hose as well as turn OFF the spigot AND allow it to drain! The pictures MANY have posted showing 'burst pipes' are a direct result of improper installation or not following simple 'draining' instructions. It is IMPERATIVE the faucet is installed at a slope DOWNHILL to allow it to Drain. It is IMPERATIVE to disconnect the hose so that the Faucet will drain. It is IMPERATIVE the 'Anti-siphon device' (on the faucet connection that allows the faucet to drain even with a connected hose) is working properly OR BETTER yet, remove the 'device' and MAKE SURE to remove the hose everytime!!!The way Frost Free designs work is to place the VALVE action into a TEMPERATURE safe environ, into an "interior" space, such as behind your block wall or into the wood stud wall of your house, etc. The 'various' lengths are meant for your type of wall (thickness) such as 'block' versus '2x4 studs' and really have no relevance to its ability NOT to freeze; However, the longer the better because it presents a longer 'convection run' to the valve area and the freezable water source. Because it is "METAL," very low, extended outside temperatures will eventually remove the Heat needed to keep the pipe from freezing - again if that's YOU, use heat tape OR 'make' an additional insulated cover for the whole thing, like they sell for a standard outdoor faucets. Remember, installing ANY Frost Free design, where the "interior space" is no different or very little different, from the outside temperatures will FAIL - as shown in all the pictures posted.NOW, concerning the "seals;" I noticed these are what I call 'stock rubber' gaskets and very cheap. These are notorious for 'sticking' if left shut for a long time. They are also NOT HAPPY when over tightened and should be replaced immediately when they start leaking INSTEAD just cranking it closed 'harder.' They have been commonly known to 'stick' so bad as to actually break their installation screw loose and when you pull out the stem, there is literally nothing on the end! Then it gets "FUN"... When you FIRST NOTICE this issue, pull it apart and replace with a Neoprene (or better) seal - which are very common at your local hardware store.LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the SMART thing to do, and which will SOLVE ALL THESE ISSUES, is to place a Shutoff Valve in the line for this faucet in an interior space and use that! Then open the faucet to drain the WHOLE LINE entirely and just simply DO NOT RELY on its ability to be "Frost Free" at all - 'nuf said...

Rolls Royce Outdoor Faucet
I don't write many reviews, but when I come across a product such as this, I have to brag about it. I had two Moen hot/cold single handle outdoor faucets for eight years. They were hard to turn on and off and hard to regulate. Moen was true to their word and was very quick to send me replacement parts and even replaced the faucets once with no complaints. I found out recently that particular model was discontinued.I purchased the Prier. I installed it myself with no problems. I think my wife could have installed it, it was so easy. It is working perfectly. It is easy to regulate and easy to turn on/off. I read some reviews where the purchaser of the Prier had to hire a plumber to replace some washers after a short while. I suspect they were turning the faucet off too hard. The faucet has the lingering drip that all frost proof faucets have. The short drip is caused by the faucet having to drain after being turned off. Consumers get impatient and keep tightening the faucet trying to stop the drip and all they had to do was wait a couple of seconds for gravity to do its job. Regardless, the washers are easy to get to and easy to replace. I especially like the ability to mount the faucet vertically as well as horizontally. The faucet also swivels, but you don't want to have it upside down because the water then will not drain out.A friend questioned why I have a faucet of this type. He never washed dogs in the dead of winter outdoors or washed oily hands in freezing water or washed a car in the winter with ice cold tap water. He's a little slow.I love this faucet!!

... when I installed it and tested it it worked fine. But the first time I actually went to ...
I am very dissatisfied with this product I brought it during the winter and installed it as soon as the weather got nicer when I installed it and tested it it worked fine. But the first time I actually went to use it it started to leak right at the hot water baseplate Where the 3/4 pipe meet the cast baseplate and also the bottom nut, upon inspection I found the O ring distorted these where clearly manufacturing defects. Upon contacting Amazon for a replacement they said it was a third-party vendor the third party vendor told me it could not be replaced because of policy that I had it too long. I am a HVAC service technician with over 17 years of experience if I brought this product back to any of my vendors they would've replaced it no questions asked because of this defect no matter how long I took to install it. In fact just recently I had a kitchen sink faucet leak from a cartridge after being in for 10 years and when I called the manufacturer for a new cartridge which I intended to pay for, they sent me a new one no charge even the shipping they told me the cartridge was guaranteed for life, now that's customer service. I guess you get what you pay for when you buy something for $89 I'm compared to over $250 but still shouldn't the vendor and manufacturer stand by their product? Everyone I have talk to told me Amazon is great for returns. Not in this case.

Love the product, seller delivered
Second time around for this product. Kids left the hose connected so it froze last winter. Not the products fault, order another because I like it...

Great spigot
Very well built unit. Couldn't be happier. If you follow the instructions and mount the unit with a slight downward pitch toward the end of the spigot where you attach a hose, you won't have problems with it freezing. Any copper pipe will burst of it has trapped water that freezes.
