I purchased two of these, one for my home and one as a gift. Copper is an essential mineral, and I learned that I did not have enough and it was harming me. To get back on track I am using a supplement, but after that I prefer to adapt my lifestyle so that supplements are not needed. That started with copper water, and I needed a vessel of pure copper with no liner. This works! I put the water in at night and let it sit to use the water in the morning. One quick test was on my sinus difficulties. Previously I would rinse my nasal passages with saline solution, which had an immediate effect yet it would not last. I tried copper water, and could breathe freely through my nose for several days. Pros: Pure, uncoated copper Nice weight Can be used to make copper water while it keeps pets out of it all night Makes a great gift, & comes boxed & sealed Cons: Copper needs to stay in balance with zinc, so it is important to pay attention to that, too. This one had a small dent on the bottom. It doesn't affect use, and it isn't visible when this is upright. To me it doesn't matter, as I'll undoubtedly add many more. If you are gifting, just inspect it. The 2nd one that I bought had no flaws. Copper requires the appropriate care. To my mind, when I care for my things it inspires gratitude and I enjoy it. People who are put out by using a bit of lemon juice or vinegar to keep this beautiful do abound, though, and that sort would consider the proper care required to be a 'con .' The second one that I purchased was gifted, and well received. The recipient is someone that I know to take good care of things, and also doesn't consider that to be any burden. So lovely! Does oxidise after a while but doesn't bother me - you can find lots of YouTube videos to polish it up. It's a perfect bottle for me! Its durable and great value for money :)
