I've been using this soap for about a week and I'm really pleased. It is natural and unscented; it has a mild olive oil scent when using it that disappears soon after rinsing. It leaves my skin feeling good and not dried out. I've even beem using it as a shampoo without conditioner with good results; my hair is clean and combs out well, neither dry nor oily.This is the same soap sold in smaller and more expensive bars under the same name. I received four individually packaged bars, a total of about 1 kg, more than 2 pounds, in great condition. The bars are too big to use individually, but they cut easily lengthwise and crosswise with a chef's knife without crumbling.

This is the best product I have ever used for cleaning skin, whether it's a bar soap for the shower, a shower gel, or liquid hand soap. It lathers beautifully into mounds of very soft and gentle suds that lubricate your washcloth over your skin as you wash. It rinses cleanly. After showering, my skin is very soft and not ashy or dry as happens with most soaps. My legs and arms almost feel like I have put moisturizer on them. That's why I lather my body from face to toes with this soap because it actually leaves your skin softer and more moisturized than before the shower. I love it. The big bars last quite a while. I keep a large supply of the bars on hand and regularly re-order it from Amazon.This genuine olive oil soap is way better than any synthetic cleansing bar (Olay or Dove) or any soap made from animal fat or plant fat.

I was searching for a fragrance-free, natural Castile soap—and I found it in these soaps. I love that this soap smells only of the ingredients used to make it—no artificial scents, just clean and simple. It feels great on the skin, super gentle. The amount you get for the price is impressive, and I’m thrilled I finally found a big, natural Castile soap with no added nonsense.

Excellent soap! It is super moisturizing and excellent for anyone with sensitive skin! This is the first soap that I can use on my hair, beard, face, and body. A true all-in-one soap. It is unscented, but smells of olive oil (obviously), which I find pleasant. The bars are very large, and milled well so they should last a long time with daily use. The only caveat, and it is just something to be aware of absolutely not a reason to avoid buy for me, is that due to it being made largely of olive oil, it is a bit slippery during shower use. But still it has become and instant favorite soap of mine!

I've noticed my skin being irritated quite often for the last 2 years. I investigated many possible things that could be causing it but also just tolerated it. It occurred to me that it might be the Irish Spring body wash or Pantene shampoo I use. So I'm going to replace both of them with Papoutsanis for a month and see how it goes.Papoutsanis was pleasant to use on my skin. Slick and nice. It lathered up a little bit. My skin feels fine. I don't seem to have any irritation. So that's great.Washing my hair was quite different from my regular shampoo. It lathered up my hair easily. When I rinsed it out, the texture of my hair immediately felt quite different. Like I'm not sure I could run my fingers through it. I then did a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse, which is supposed to correct the pH balance of your hair after using a more alkaline soap. After my hair dried, it seems to have worked well. It seems like my hair combed out more easily and it might be a little extra fluffy. I'm not really going for fluffy but it's definitely clean and worked fine. My hair might feel a little softer and smoother. I'm not sure.I'll revise this review when a I'm done testing.So far, so good.

Discovered this soap on a trip to Greece last year. What I like most is that it cleans well, has few ingredients, and has a satisfying lather, especially when used with a loofah.it does not leave my skin as dry as big brand soaps do, and I should also mention that I do not have sensitive skin so I cannot speak to its allergic effects on folks who do.The only drawback I can think of is that the scent may be a little off putting to people used to, or prefer richly scented soaps. It’s not a bad scent, but more of an earthy, natural oil-based scent, but one that does not linger on the skin like heavily scented soaps do. Just a natural, honest clean.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I like the large bar size and the fact that it doesn’t have any heavy perfume-y scent…just smells clean.
