(Super Value Set of 4) Silicone Trivets / Pot Holder / Coaster / Placemat / Hot Pad

I love these trivets! They are cute and colorful, but they also work well. They are thin enough that they don't take up much room in a drawer. If they get dirty, they can easily be rinsed or washed. I did some comparison shopping before buying these, and the price is great. I can buy a 4 pack of these for the price of just 1 or 2 in a department store. In addition to the kitchen, I use these to protect bathroom countertops by placing flat irons on them.

I originally bought this item to aid in cleaning some of my makeup brushes and it does a nice job because of the ridges. But I have also used it as a pot holder for hot items to sit on. I haven't had any issues and it seems to work well, although the material does feel a bit thin.

It was the cheapest option. Colors are a little retro, or something... it works well as a placemat and pretty well as a potholder.

The item title says: "Trivets / Pot Holder / Coaster / Placemat / Hot Pad" I said, "Great!! Placemats, just what I'm looking for!!" You have to dig down into the description to find the details. But for $7.25, I just added them to the cart and moved on. Bad move. They're only 8.5" x 6". Way too small for a placemat. They are rectangular pieces of silicone with rounded corners that you can use for whatever you want to use them for. But don't use them as they suggest. 1) They're too small to be used as placemats. 2) According to others' reviews, they melt if you use them as trivets and put something hot on them. 3) They're too big to be used as coasters. 4) If they melt when used as trivets, I highly recommend not using them as pot holders. You definitely do not want hot melted silicone sticking to your hands. You could suffer a really nasty burn that way. 5) The package doesn't even have the manufacturers name on it. Just a little (1" x 2.5" label stating what the package contains). They clearly aren't proud of their product either. 6) I'm going to return them. They were going to be Christmas gifts, but I'd be embarrassed to give these as gifts. Now I'll have to go fight the crowds at a local big box store.

These are very useful place-mats to have around. The colors are bright and actually don't thrill me, but they are consistent with the photo. These are small enough to move easily and large enough to protect a surface from a hot pan or the water ring from a glass. I put one under any plate or snack bowl that goes to the living room. Easy to clean. Very happy with the purchase.

good quality; just wish the colors were not so garish. They serve a purpose and do it well; they just don't match anything else I have in my kitchen. Maybe next set can have some more "primary" colors?

Nice bright colors, "attractive". Good for warm items, but to remove items from oven, they melt. I used one to rotate a glass dish in the oven and noticed smoke coming from the dish when I realized a bit of the silicone pad had melted onto my dish and was burning. I did not notice any temperature limitations before purchasing. My oven was set at 375 F. ( couldn't find a degree key on my keyboard)

thought they would be a little bigger to serve as placements but they are certainly useful in the RV anyway!!!
