I have not burned any of it yet, so I do not know if the smoke is clear or black.

I made beewax candles. And now I need to melt them and remove their wish made of this product. After 10 minutes burning the first candle I was not able to stand anymore the chemical smell. I simply wanted to stop breathing. Is this from bleaching process or whatever, but simple cotton twine from Home Depot worked well. It just is too thin for the candles size I wanted to make

I just made some candles with it. It is not bending over and breaking off like it is suppose to. It is a tight squeeze getting it through the metal wick holders for the bottom. This is the first time I tried the wick holder so maybe that is as good as it gets. The pool of wax after burning about one hour is 2 and 1/4" in a container candle. The #5 wick is suppose to be good for a 5 inch candle so I think it could handle a 2.5 inch width X five inch tall candle. Just my thoughts being a beginner. burns too fast in my container candle. Flame is huge and flickers.

Bought this wick to make hand dipped beeswax candles and it turned out perfect! This is just the right size.

After priming the wick in 100% beeswax, then making candles in mason jars for Christmas gifts, I had enough wax left over for a small test candle (not in a mason jar)! To my dismay, the flame from this wick is almost non existent. It does put out a nice beeswax scent though.
