For the price, it is very good, much better than most student resins. There are better ones but you will have to pay accordingly.

Does this have the gold dust?

actually I never paid attention on the color of the powder the rosin leaves on the violin maybe because this rosin is so perfect that it does leave almost no powder on the top of the instrument after playing. If you are asking if the rosin contains gold powder I don t think so .
