What’s the difference between the red capped sensicare and the purple cap sensicare?

Frankly, I have no idea, as I have only seen the purple capped Sensi Care.  The tube does, by the way, have a "3 protect" like it might be part of a step by step healing product, or may have more zinc than tubes with other colored caps.  You could ask the supplier - 800 number on the tube.

Question 2

This is my first time using sensicare. Is the cream supposed to have small hard chunks in it? Mine has the consistency of drywall spackel.

I emailed the manufacturer, Convatec, from its website to ask about the grainy texture and why it is hard to wash off. My understanding is the grains are a substance that helps absorb moisture and that you can use mineral oil to get it off. Even so, I didn't think it was the right cream for the person I was using it for.

Am confused.  I ordered "Clear Zinc" but received "Skin Protectant Barrier".  Cannot read the small print on the tubes so what is the difference?

It appears the company sent you the incorrect barrier cream, if you ordered "Clear Zinc", however, Sensi Care contains 15% zinc.  For your future reference, we found Sensi Care was not doing the job for us, so over a year ago we switched to CALMOSEPTINE Ointment which is also available from Amazon.  Right now we purchase two (2) 2 tubes per packs (four (4) tubes) through subscribe and save for a total of $35.50.  Calmoseptine was recommended to us by our in-home nurse and it works much better for us.  My spouse is confined to the bed and has very sensitive skin that is very susceptible to irritation from the slightest amount of moisture.  Calmoseptine is the only thing that heals those skin eruptions.
