I’m a little baffled by this product. I’ve purchased this several times now, and usually I love it, but the bottle I received back in January was different. The bottle was exactly the same, but the cream inside was noticeably different. It was thinner, not at all greasy, and had a slightly unpleasant odor. I thought maybe the formulation had changed, so I ordered another bottle to compare, but what I received was back to the original consistency and smell. What gives?

Excellent Product! As soon as I tried it after an electric razor shave, my face went back to normal instantly. The burn, itch, irritation, and annoyance after an electric shave, not only vanished instantly (I mean it), but there was a pleasant afterglow feeling. No idea what causes that, but I kinda like. Bought a bottle for my college age son, and he reported the same results. Two other points - one, they tell you to use a very small amount, just a couple of drops, rub your hands together and slide your hands around your face. Instant results. The other, it is NOT greasy as I expected. I don't like hand lotions because they make your hands feel sticky and dirty. This stuff somehow goes on dry. Can't explain it. Just know I like it.

This has an odd smell (earthy, oily) that I find a little unpleasant. The scent disappears quickly so it isn’t a problem in practical use.

I had used the same post shave balm for years. I was happy with it and had no reason to change. Then covid, the only place I could get the brand I was happy with was Europe. Needless to say the shipping cost was twice what the sale price was. I decided to search for the highest rated post shave balm on Amazon. Van Der Hagan was one of them. I gave it a try and now have a new favorite. This is an excellent product. I use a safety razor and have since I was in the Corp. A little goes a long way as it should. I has NO Sent and is not greasy at all. If you have read this I recommend you try it and let me know what you think of it.
