Great Camera!
These are the greatest. The wifi is gimmicky. You need to be within 15 yards of the camera - so you might as well just swap the SD card. Image and video quality are superb and operation is a piece of cake!

Great camera at a reasonable price
This is my first experience with a trail camera. I purchased it with the intention of capturing the activities of nighttime critters in our back yard. The camera seems very well designed and constructed...it is easy to mount pretty much anywhere with supplied strap, or with owner supplied chord and hangers. Setting the camera up proved a little problematic, but I found a great video/tutorial which covered setup for a novice like me. Initially I was not getting any nighttime pictures, but by changing a few settings and by using lithium (Energizer) batteries I am now getting some nighttime pictures. A sample is included with this review. In my experience the Meidase app works well with my iPhone; it allows me to review settings, see real time camera activity, and to look at a gallery of pictures and videos taken; I can also put SD card into a reader and look at content in a larger format on my iMac desktop. Connecting the camera to my iPhone is relatively seamless as long as I seek a "line of sight" area between the camera and the modem. So far I am happy with my purchase, and look forward to exploring the opportunities this camera provides.

Fantastic trail cams!! Get them, you won't be disappointed.
Super happy with this trail camera!! The photo and video quality are both really clear, and the sound picks up surprisingly well too. It’s definitely waterproof and has handled rain and dew without any issues. The battery life has been great still going strong after a few months of use! One thing to note: the motion sensor is very sensitive (maybe too good at its job), so make sure there’s nothing like a branch or tall grass waving in front of it, or you’ll end up with a ton of empty clips. I noticed it missed some smaller critters at first, but once I lowered the camera to about 6 inches off the ground, it started catching perfect shots of them. Now I know how to angle the cams better. Setup was super easy with clear instructions, quick to get up and running, and no tech headaches. Connecting to the cams with my phone is super easy and I haven't had any issues. And the price is great for the product I've received!! All in all, a great little camera that really does the job! Here's some photos of Madame Moose, Mama Deer and our naughty Fisher friend. 😆

Stay far away from Meidase.
I gave Meidase one star not because they deserve it, but because the rating system lacks a lower rating. Meidase is just a scam, they sell crappy cameras that only lasts for a couple of months. They refused to respond to a single one of my repeated messages to customer support, yet they take the time and effort to charge my credit card for renewals. Do not fall prey to this scam. If you a re looking for a 4G trail camera that has a full manufacturer's support and will last years, don't be tempted by flashy advertising and go for a Reaolink 4G camera. It may cost somewhat more, but it is well worth it.

Exactly what I wanted in a trail cam for my application
Working great for what I needed them for. Great imaging even at night and decent battery life with rechargeable lithium 1.5V batteries

Not worth the trouble.
So I've had this for a while now and I just have to say that it's not worth the money of you want to use it as a trail cam. So the unit itself is fine, good build quality, camera quality is fine, the app is decent-not high end but not poorly translated from Chinese. However, in order to use the app, i.e. to view the camera or the videos/images on it, you have to first connect to it via bluetooth!!! Even though you connect it your wifi, you can't view anything until you first connect via bluetooth...WHICH MEANS you have to be within 20 feet, literally. I think the Bluetooth is weak on the camera. I have to go into my bedroom to connect to the camera which is in the garden about 15 feet away! So forget about setting this up somewhere a bit out of the way and then viewing it!!! I feel any waterproof wifi camera would have worked better. So be sure you're aware of how it works before buying it.

Keeps defaulting to 11/01/2023
I don’t think this product is available anymore in the form/model from 2025, but just in case, here is my review after two years. It’s been consistent in its video quality and reliability. I’ve experienced two ongoing issues with it, which is not necessarily a deal breaker unless you are using the device for investigation purpose: The date inexplicably reverts to the date stamp 11/01/23 (at the time of this writing, it is late 2026) and the recordings load and store out of order.

Good mid priced camera that last!!!
I bought my first one about 4 years ago and added one per year until this year when I bought 4 at once. It is a testimony to quality that they still make the same camera. I run them 4 months a year during deer season without changing batteries and 12 months a year around the house. Not one has failed. No problems with the battery compartments like I have had on other cameras. I am not sure of the actual range of the wireless connection but it sure is nice to sit in one place and look at multiple cameras on my phone, down load choice pictures and then format the SD card. I can check the batteries remotely too. There is two things in the directions you need to remember. One is that they may not connect to our phone if you have VPN turned on on your phone. I turn VPN off on my phone when looking at the cameras and the connection works fine. Second which I forgot this year is that looking at the cameras with your phone turns off motion sensing while you are connected. I thought something was wrong with the cameras this year when I forgot that. So when testing them, disconnect your phone, test the motion with a few movements, reconnect your phone and see the pictures in your test. It is nice to use the manual camera option to aim them.
