This is a decent OBD scan tool for most shadetree mechanics and weekend do it yourselfers. I think the Bluetooth feature is a nice plus because it really increases the functionality and visibility of the scanner. I have used it for about a week now and the battery tester is nice to have combined with the tool. Great idea, so kudos to the manufacturer. It is easy to use and self explanatory for beginning wrench turners and old hands that just want simplicity when trying to make a repair quickly. If you are looking for a scan tool that will give you transmission DTCs and other trouble codes, then go ahead and save your money to get a more robust and comprehensive scanner. Overall however, for the money this one is good for getting started on the majority of basic engine mechanical issues. I do like the case that Amazon sent with my order and would recommend that one should consider a storage bag or box if you decide to order this scanner. I am happy with the purchase and believe it is a solid addition to my diagnostics toolbox.

Llevo tiempo probándolo y funciona Exelente y ayuda mucho el Blutoo que se conecta al celular. Fácil de usar y en español. Nose mucho de mecánica y sacando los códigos de mis carros y solucionando yo los códigos. Digamos que ya se pagó solo. Lo e usado en mi Toyota camry y mi Chevy Silverado 2014

Great tester for DYI. I do like that they also include Bluetooth connection and not to mention battery tester feature. I did in fact contact their customer service for help on downloading the current software update and I must say they are spot on very efficient and helpful. I foresee many years of usefulness with this tool.

The unit seems well bult and is easy to use. I got it primarily to test my cars batteries and it worked well. I was having issue with one battery; the tester connected easily to the battery with the included battery connector cable and indicated that the battery was good but needed a full charge which I did, and has been working correctly since then. The device connected easily to my cell phone (Samsung S22+) and I could see the results there. I have a much more advanced tester for CEL issues o that was not my primary purpose for this unit. I have tried to update the firmware following the instructions received from the seller with no luck. When I connect the unit to my laptop via USB cable and run the downloaded software, it tells me the tested cannot be detected. even when the screen is lit and show a proper connection. I tried leaving the USB connector in to power the unit and connect to my cell phone via Bluetooth. It connects and recognizes the tester and then I go to upgrade firmware, and it tell me it will take several minutes to upgrade depending on the strength of the Bluetooth connection. The phone is right next to it and display the massage "Detecting in progress, please wait..." and just sit there doing nothing. I need to connect directly to the OBDC connector in one of my cars and try the upgrade from there and see if it works with this setup. I will update my evaluation if I get it to upgrade while connected directly via the OBDC. If I can get it to upgrade, I will add one star. Overall, the unit is pretty nice and being able to communicate with my phone for diagnostic investigation is a huge plus.

I've only used it for the battery check so far and it worked great. Just got a new Interstate battery for my Lexus and wanted to verify that it was, in fact, new and not old or compromised. Using the battery cable connections was quick and easy. I can now scan for codes and monitor battery health so I'm not stranded with a dead battery in the NV summer desert heat. Recommend
