Presto 02153 Precise 23-Quart Digital Pressure Canner

If pressure canning makes you nervous, this is a million times worth the investment! You don’t have to babysit this pressure canner like the old time ones, and it has so many safety features. I like that it will hold 20 pint jars and up to 7 quart jars. It’s relatively easy to clean, and I haven’t had issues with the seal at all. It’s not too heavy either. The quality is amazing and it’s so easy to use. It will tell you exactly what to do each step.

This is the best digital canner. I researched for a long time before making this purchase and I have not been disappointed. The ease of using it and the capacity is perfect. I have used it almost nonstop since receiving it.

I don’t have any other electric canner to compare with, but this one is the best! So easy to use. Follow the prompts to the canning phase and walk away. Made very well. Only one I found with this capacity, perfect for large batches. I’ve canned mushrooms and baked beans! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This made pressure canning way less intimidating. The instructions are excellent, and I followed them easily. I processed several batches this season and it worked perfectly every time. I probably wouldn't be doing pressure canning without it. One of my favorite perks when using this is that my kitchen does not get nearly as hot when using this as it does when I do the processing on the stove. It says you can do water bath canning with it and has instructions for that, but I don't think I'll ever use it for that simply because you have to boil water on the stove an put in it once your jars are filled and loaded in the pot. I don't want to do that. This was definitely designed mainly for pressure canning, which is what I got it for, so it works for what I want. The only gripe for me is that the fill line is so small that I couldn't see it anymore after the discoloration after using it one time. Not a big issue though, I just measure out the 3 quarts of water when I put it in.

I have used Presto pressure canner for years. Have always loved them. When I saw this electric pressure canner, I had to try it. It's a bit pricey compared to their "regular" pressure canner, but it's on part with the cost of an All American. I took the plunge and bought this one, giving it a first test on a taco soup recipe. It performed great and made pressure canning the soup very easy! I was a but puzzled that it doesn't require you to set a lbs per pressure depending on your altitude. I also do not like that it makes you warm your jars in the canner first before you fill them. There is no way to bypass this step. But overall, this canner has performed great and I look forward to using it for next season's harvest. It's nice that it won't be taking up space on my stove top and it's a stand alone unit. This saves so much time and space!!

Absolutely love the simplicity of this! My first jars that came out of this were perfect and so delicious. I was always stressing before that I kept the pressure right with my old stove and now there’s no stress. Easy and accurate

This is my new baby. USDA approved home canner, works like a dream. I've canned green beans, Carrot, Pasole' Stewed and Diced Tomatoes, and I'm just getting warmed up. You can can a ton of pint jars, and up to 7 quart jars at a time, at least thats as much as I've tried. No problems with the seal, easy to clean. It's not noisy, but does beep and alerts you when each stage of the canning process changes. Great value, but I've seen the price much lower at Tractor Supply, by almost 100 dollars, so you may want to shop around to get the best deal. It is worth the investment if you want to get into longer-term food preservation to stretch those supplies and mitigate food waste.

Could not have purchased a better product! It is easy to clean, and seals amazing! Goes step by step through the process and has all the necessary safety features to make you comfortable.

So easy to use compared to traditional pressure canner. Use distilled water - mine has a terrible burnt smell if I use tap water.

Lower score because it is not UK compatible. I am gutted because I didn’t notice this when ordering. Otherwise it looked great - just what I wanted. I realise I could have ordered a transformer but the ones I saw were either too large or in my experience the smaller ones are prone to overheating. Given my reason for purchasing this model was so I could just walk away and leave it - the need for a transformer prevented me doing this. Also whilst I should have thought of this and the issue re: electricity is on Amazon I think it would help if there was a note to highlight this for future purchasers. I checked Presto’s web site for this issue and it appears they don’t provide UK compatible canners.
