Stern Pad Jumbo Black - Screwless Transducer/Acc. Mounting Kit (for Large 3D Scan Transducers)

So far so good! We have a brand new Key West CC and didn't want to start our ownership by drilling into the hull. The installation is super easy and quick. We have a 3 in 1 SIMRAD transducer installed with the 3 factory screws, no issues after 8 hours of boating in rough chop. Even if this product came loose in a year or two, I would buy another just to avoid poking holes in our boat!

This was the perfect set up for my Lund aluminum hull boat. It has been installed, no drilling into the hull and my transponder has held up in the water.

This stern pad has served me well. Installed it on a 1648 Jon boat, still going strong. In addition to the 3M adhesive, I also sealed around the pad to the transom with 3M5200 sealer. This has helped to keep water from getting behind the pad and effecting the adhesive. My transom had some imperfections that I tried to flatten as much as possible. The sealer helped seal the pad and not allow water to intrude.

Long story short, ensure that the area you are putting on is flat and that you can apply pressure for the glue to stick. I put it on a Jon boat the first time; it didn't stick well and pulled off and fell into the dirt. I bought a new one because I knew I had messed up, no fault of the company. I moved over to a flatter spot with no dents, used two ratchet straps to a bolt inside the boat, and wrapped the other end around the trailer to crank down it to lay flat. It worked fine could still see minor lifting on one side; I filled the gap with 3m 5200 and cranked it down with a ratchet strap. Problem solved. This thing will probably never come off and holds a 3d scan transducer with no problem with a Stainless steel 10x 3/4" screw. Make sure you have a way to make it adhere and lay flat is my advice

Been on the boat for almost a year and no signs of it coming off. Easy to install. Would fit multiple devices.

I did not want to drill holes under the water line of my new boat, so I purchased this mounting pad. It installed easily, but I found that there was a little gap on one edge due to the fact that my transom is not perfectly flat. This pad is very flat on the mounting surface. I ended up buying a tube of marine adhesive and worked it under the gap, then formed a nice bead on the top and left and right sides, leaving the bottom un-caulked to allow any water to drip out. I mounted it nearly flush with the bottom of the boat. The transducer bracket screwed in securely and I adjusted it in accordance with the mounting instructions for the depth finder. The depth finder shows accurate speed even at high speed (35 mph on my boat), so the bracket is not generating excessive turbulence. Without holes in the transom, I have no points of leakage!

Followed directions exactly and everything seemed fine for 2 months. Traveling across the lake yesterday I started hearing a banging from the back of the boat only 25mph. Block had come lose from boat and transducer was flopping along behind the boat. Had to cut the day short. Waste of money. Get a screw in transducer boat and use 5200. Do not buy this item!

Has held up at 40 Mph, and a couple hundred hours this season

Exactly as advertised. Easy to follow installation instructions with a 3M scouring pad and alcohol prep pad with three cable clips included. Easy to modify with any saw and sand paper.

Fits perfect on my transom, have yet to be on the water. Transducer mounted with no problems.

I was expecting something a little bit with more substance to it, it basically a block of high density foam… the only real good thing about it is the adhesive (if you were able to buy that specific tape) I’d buy that! (But all you know about the tape is it’s a 3M product)
