AKG P220 Condenser Microphone Bundle with Studio Stand, Pop Filter and XLR Cable (4 Items)

Quick simple review-the mic is great as expected from AKG. Case is great blah blahThe boom arm stand is not great for this item though, mic weighs too much for it and it droops slowly down like a sad sad. But you aren’t buying this for the stand. I’ll use the stand for something else because it’s still a good stand, just not for this mic.

Amazon said nothing about this mic requires phantom power to operate. At first I thought I had a defective mic when in fact it needed phantom power... I'd say that was a big no no. Not all boards are phantom power equipped luckily my Behringer is phantom ready. Once I figured out to turn on the phantom the mic works beautifully. AKG has always been my choice of microphones... This is a Great microphone but not knowing it requires phantom power. By the way this will not work on a pc without an external phantom supply also available from Amazon.. This mic is worth it!!!!!!

Are you putting together a home studio cause you think you wanna get into music production? This is the kit for you. You won't break the bank and you'll get the best bang to your buck. The stand is best of the cheap end. It's the most sturdy but it looks good and it does not creak or rattle. The pop filter is as good as any. So if you are trying to pick between the p120 the at2020 the at2035 and this one, get this one...not because it's soooo much better..but because they will all work, and you need someone to guide you, as I did.

Works perfectly in the studio

Package price was cheaper than just the microphone by itself. The stand is a bit short and a little cheap but usable for sure. Pop filter is ok but tough to keep it where you want it. The cord is as expected. Overall a great deal considering it is cheaper than the standalone Mic. The Mic does come with the travel case and shockmount.

I can't get the stand to hold the mic up, it's too heavy for it. Can't use it at all.

Love it works great sounds verry good wouldn't buy anything different use it every day
