I love these pens, they write so smooth and the ink does not smear.

Amazing for a minute. Suddenly without warning thr ball or whatever miniature part forms the inkflow tip and makes the writing feel smooth, falls off or disintegrate, idk - it's just suddenly missing! It's not visible with the naked eye, but you most certainly feel it as it scratches across the paper and then starts blotching. It has happened to 3 of the 4 I put into use! I'm a fountain pen lover so I really appreciate when a pen runs smooth, but these pens blow out without any reason. I has one in a pen cup next to my bed, so it's not used very often. When pulling another pen this morning I found it covered with ink but upon wiping it I realized it wasn't the problem. Next pen also covered, I thought it odd - never before were these problematic. I had forgotten about one of these problematic pens and it sat lower in the cup unnoticed. Sure enough while sitting in the cup sometime in the last couple of months it blew out and drained ink all over the bottom. Thankfully I forgot about it in a pen cup!!! I am not shy about returns, but it was past the 30 days when this started happening. I live in greatr Houston so everything is climate controlled. I have never had any pens ever be this consistently defective! There is definitely a manufacturing defect happening. I attribute the 4 pens not in service yet being OK only bc of the little protective plastic ball that you need to pull off before using, still being in place. If the seller wants to address this and send out a replacement set, I will happily test them and revise my rating to 5 stars - which is what I would have given had they not blown out. Overall ink flow - blotchy Versatility - only good for trash Erasability - big mess Would NOT recommend!

They are great I loved them, then they started to leak and ruined a couple of my uniforms.
