Great, simple to use portable kit which easily identifies types and values of components
I have numerous pieces of test equipment for transistors (product description refers to as triodes which is really a vacuum tube), diodes, resistors, capacitors and inductors. They all need to be individually set up.This unit is a case of inserting the component (in the correct slots) and switching on. It identifies the component and gives its various characteristics. I had considered designing and building such a unit around an Arduino, but this was simple to buy, has a built in rechargeable battery, carries out self checks and gives the results quickly. I can now concentrate on design and build, rather than sorting and valueing components. Great piece of kit and very portable.

Simple and handy.
All tests matched the components, easy to use and handy to have on the go and to assist in identifying badly marked components.

Works OK but instructions poor
This little device is good value as it works fine and is not expensive. On arrival the Li-ion battery was fully charged. The instruction manual has been translated from Chinese but it doesn't work well in English. There are some good colour illustrations which get the message across. One star deducted for the instruction manual.

Does the job Well!
I already have one of these component teaters, assembled from kit form, which has worked well so far. However I wanted one which had an inbuilt battery with simple recharging capbility, and this seemed to offer the best option. I have not really tested this unit thoroughly, but what I have tested seems to be accurate. I would recommend this unit to others who are looking for the promised capabilities.

Useful and compact test device
This is an extremely useful device for testing discrete components. It is very useful for testing component values and establishing the voltage drop in led's so that the correct resistor value can be determined.This new version comes with a lithium battery and USB charging cord.very portable and has a clear colour display. There are many YouTube review videos available that also show how to calibrate and use this little device. I bought it to try and sort out my extensive bits box. I couldn't do without it now

Crap li-ion, useful ready reckoner for unlabeled parts or those without a datasheet.
The internal li-ion cell was pathetic and almost dead on arrival, after a proper charge at 1c it wasnt any better. I didn't buy this one for the rechargeable nature though, there were other reasons. I also have some other lithium cells I can shove in it so not a great loss for the techy crowd this is aimed at.Accuracy is rather variable. It's an acceptable ready reckoner for some functions though so it keeps four stars.

Good price, good meter.
I love this tester. I wish this was around when I was learning about electronics.it not only checks the components but it will identify them and give you pin outs. I keep this within easy reach of my bench so I can check all components before I fit them.

Total crap. No leads supplied as pictured. Not very accurate. Waste of money
