When the plastic flag pole ring on my existing flag pole snapped in a brisk wind, I didn't want to purchase a whole new flag pole kit for just one item. Structurally, the pole remained intact and the bottom ring still worked. Plastic rings aren't particularly sturdy or durable, especially for a flag mounted to the front of a house. I settled on Bonwin 1" flag pole rings because I wanted solid metal construction that wouldn't discolour my flag. I'm very pleased with my purchase. They came with minimal unnecessary packaging in a nice cardboard box, complete with the skinniest Allen wrench I've ever seen. Installing the rings takes only a few minutes: loosen the threaded bolt to the preferred size, slide onto the flag pole, and tighten the bolt until secure. It doesn't get much easier than that. Carabiner clips are ideal for most flags, and they sapped right in with a minimum of fuss. The war flag of La Serenissima proudly flies again, streaming the lion of St. Mark once more. I've not had any issues since mounting the rings. They remain firmly in place where I left them despite 50 km/h gusts in the past week. Usually I take my flag in, but that's not always possible when away from home. I'm very pleased I didn't have to purchase a new assembly. If you're in the market for replacement rings, these get a solid 5 stars from me.

Works great. But after a while the wind blowing still makes the carabiner wear through the hole where the hooks. And they will squeak as well.

Easy to use, keeps flag from getting tangled up

I used these to hang and anchor on my ponton boat and they were just what I needed.

So it's 2026 and my old porch flag had done its glorious duty. During its life, it was often wrapped around the pole as the winds are quite brisk around my place. Before I mounted my replacement flag, I opted to try these anti-furling rings. They were so very easy to install on the old flagpole, and now my new 250th anniversary flag will decorate my front porch all year. Initial tests seemed to provide the well-regulated order that I look for in a flag -- unfurled to every breeze, from dawn to setting sun. Happy birthday USA!

Works ok. Does not seem to spin easily. In low wind, it will not spin around to show true wind direction.

Well machined aluminium , they just do the job and will continue to do so through many replacement flags.
