Thursday Boot Company Hero Men's Lace-up Boot

These are a perfect pair of boots in my opinion. They’re super comfortable from day one. I would say they run true to size. The materials all feel really high quality. The rubber sole feels durable but still looks elegant so I can both wear these casually or dress them up. This is my first purchase from Thursday and I’ll definitely be coming back to try their sneakers next.

What I liked:- Excellent quality, handmade near-shore (in Guanajuato, Mexico)- Leather was flawless and smell great- The price for this quality is difficult to beat- Sizing recommendation was spot on (half size smaller than your sneakers)- Supple leather lining and insole- Grippy and durable (read: hard) outsole- Somewhat compliant midsole with cork that will eventually mold to your foot- Break-in did not take too long- Customer service is top notch (if you buy directly from them)What I did not like:- No speed hooks- No gusseted tongue (a partial gusset would have been enough)- Outsole and midsole are very firm, great for durability, not too great for comfort- Kevlar reinforced laces are overkill, and kevlar is abrasive, so when you tie them up it feels like they're made out of sandpaper- Some break-in was required (2-6 wear/hours)- Outsole is not slip resistant on smooth / wet surfacesWho is this for?If you are used to wearing work boots, biker boots, or even cowboy boots, and you don't mind the "walking with planks attached to your feet" overall feel, these will be some of the most comfortable boots you'll ever wear, and the price for the quality (and customer service if you buy directly from them) is hard to beat.If you've only worn Brooks and Nikes for the last five years, these are not for you. You will be in pain. You will walk like a 60 year old. Do not buy these thinking they will feel like hiking boots.

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of Thursday Boots and I couldn’t be more happy with these, just like I am with the others. Quality is top notch and it comes easily with the overall feel of the boot. This is everything I need in a boot and they will be great to dress up or dress down. Awesome pair of boots and they most definitely won’t be my last from Thursday.

Great quality but I forgot to read the description carefully. We need to order 0.5 less than our regular shoes size.

Very wide, look like clown shoes

I followed the company's instructions and bought half a size smaller than I wear in sneakers. I originally got the Black Matte pair in an 11.5 pair and had zero issues with them. I love them a lot, so I was excited to get the Tan Matte as well since different colors go better with different fits. However, the first time I wore the Tan Matte pair I got large blisters on the heels of both my feet.The company claims that the boots are handcrafted, which I believe, since one pair fit perfectly and another pair that was supposed to be the exact same size did physical harm to my body. So, if they fit, they're going to look great, but you roll the dice buying on whether or not they'll actually work for you. Now I just need to wait and heal my heels so I can wear my black pair again.

A few months of near daily wear and im still loving the boots. 4 stars because quality assurance was not supper quality and there are some small mistakes, but nothing that is a deal breaker or could not be fixed.Leather is very soft and comfortable, but is pretty easy to damage because of that. Fit is pretty much like any other boot. A bit narrow if you have wider feet, but not terribly so.

These are the perfect everyday boots. The size guide is spot on (ordered .5 size down) and the boots seem very durable. You can tell that these are made with high quality materials. Can’t wait to break these in!
